BME haven't said that the external audit has finished - which could back up Premier Miton's fears. Surely they should say the result of the external audit. To me, it suggests that more bad news could be on the cards. I hope not, but who knows.....

Agreed Chris - it has held up well quite possibly for the reasons you say.

I'm going to wait for the broker notes to see what they say. I don't think we should expect much of a re-rate until the broker turn positive and up their targets rather than cutting them.....

The SP has been battered over the last 1-2 years. So even if the results aren't great i cannot see too much being wiped off.

Nonetheless, judging by what happened to Greggs and Tesco when they announced last week, i'm going to go for 160p

If there is a hint of another accounting issue, this will be 140p. But i doubt that it will be mentioned tomorrow but more in their final results. If of course there is another accounting issue at all...

Blimey, so, other than 1 person everyone else thinks it will rally hard? I'm not so sure. For it to do that, it will need to produce decent results and a very clear outlook. Greggs and Tesco announced good results recently and they got battered. BME has a history of getting battered on results day. I'm hoping it won't this time but cannot see how they won't get punished.

I would imagine they'd be shorting more - BME has been a no brainer on results day for the last year. Bear in mind Greggs announced OK results this week and they got battered......

£1m forecast profit is not nothing. No headroom at all. All said and done, (Taking out online sales) each physical makes only around £60 clear profit a week. That's crazy.

Gone from £16m two years ago to £1m this year. I know a lot of that is down the clown chancellor but it makes awful reading.

100% agree. I cannot see the update on 22nd being good at all - especially with the outlook because of the minimum wage increase. Home Bargains announced a 7.9% increase ( not sure of LFL) so that would have taken a bit off of them. They have 639 stores but plan to get to 800-1000 - which will also take some sales off B&M. There may even be more uncovered amount the accounting issue. If so, B&M will get battered. Not saying there will be but if there is it will be carnage....

I'm out for the minute and will decide whether to get back in on 22nd. I've been burned 3 or 4 times on anouncements with B&M....

I get the budget but even then i cannot see too much of an issue. I think a lot is already priced in. You never know, she may even support the Hospitality and retail sector. But it is labour and Rachel reeves so anything is entirely possible.

Sure, B&M may dip with the rest of the market but i don't see this at £1 at all. If the economy weakens further ,discounters will weather the storm better than smaller retailers.

Even now, its prime for a takeover target with a PE - even with its debt. It makes a ton of money.

Either way, the market will decide - not me and you.

I cannot see this at 175p tomorrow if i'm honest unless something really good has happened in the last 3 weeks. The market has been punishing BME of late. If we see things like " the plan is starting to gain traction" then the SP should react positively. If we see a hint of another accounting issue, then this could really fall hard. I think a divvie reduction should be no surprise. Its also how the media report it BEFORE the market opens that will be a big driver of the SP

I cannot believe the board are asking, in fact begging PI's to put their hands in their pockets YET AGAIN to avoid failure. It's disgusting how they've ran this. From the totally misleading RNS about "initial orders shipped to Europe" a year or two ago when in reality it was probably just a handful of units given that years sales revenue was no more than a penny pusher in an arcade to the "we are investing in the placing too" RNS. . You knew the "order" was small when they mentioned no volumes and yet they talked this up massively - often using the phrase gaining "commercial traction" when in reality it meant yearly sales going up £6K! An increase of £6k of sales, literally covers 2 hours of running costs..

Of course you are investing - you were "investing" a months salary to buy 12 months salary.

It's no surprise there isn't much demand at all for the retail offer.

AIM really is an unregulated market pretending that it is. The board have totally misled investors here.

So, i just read the trading update. They have stated that they project FY 26 sales to be only £0.8m - down on FY25 - how the hell do they expect people to take up the offer when they literally state they will need to raise again in 2026, and they also stated they don't expect break even until 2027 meaning ANOTHER raise.

With only 3 weeks of cash left, why would anyone want to be a part of the raise?
