That is why I don’t see this as a roulette 50/50 gamble. There is risk. Considerable.
But covid 19 is not budging and nor is it likely to. Here to stay. Vaccines are useless until proven fully safe in all conditions. On all people especially the vulnerable ( pre-existing/older) To be fully safe takes us through the winter. A winter needing treatment. Second wave is likely to be far lower in numbers. But the bulnerable remain just as vulnerable as in the first wave...and treatment is needed as urgently now as ever. More so when meaaures are lifted and the rate of infections rises. In a year or so the rate will be very low....but the cases who get it will still need treatment to prevent immune issues. The need will not have gone. I still know many who are still locked in. My mother and brother are 2. My wife has copd. Hence my initial involvement here.
We have had covid but my mother(89) and brother ( heart valves/no spleen) have not. It was ok on us. But you just can’t ever tell.
But interferon has a proven record. More than H-chloroquine . So roll on results.

The market is saturated with 5-10% ‘ers. Been getting mpore and more that way since 2008. Now easily the majority. It suppresses share growth and perpetuates price manipulation by mm’s as they fulfil buddies’ orders . The prices have become divorced from the company in many cases. Some not of course.
I would agree with Miggy that SNG is a better bet than 50/50 but that’s as good as it gets sometimes. I have lost a great deal by staying in a solid company which has just drifted down with lack of interest from buyers . 75% down on very large investment 6 yrs ago. So...with SNG the market is playing this share like a fiddle ...but yer pays yer money.....
At the moment my opinion is that the share price is still bery undervalued with regards to risk/reward. Mm’s really truly are a very devious bunch and suppress prices when they can in order to prevent selling until there is demand. And they love to overshoot in both directions!
I am very very wary with SNG and they have caught me out again. But I take my chances. This is not a gamble. It is not an unproven drug re. efficacy with coronaviruses by any means. Track record with SARs/MERS . If they had been a global threat then we might be seeing SNG already established.
I agree with Miggy’s up and down price levels. But mm’s prefer to drop than raise a price. So I remain very much sitting on a razor’s edge and not expecting fireworks.

Share price remains a plaything for foreseeable future though it seems....no reflection of reality. Par for the present Las Vegas stock market I guess.

The world doesn’t work by the book. Never did. Invasions or elections. Governments do as they choose. ( remember weapons of mas distraction?).
By the book is academic stuff. It can be done whilst governments use all options to save lives- if they choose!
SNG seems to be on the midnight train.

I can make no sense of the laissez-faire results protocol. Governments are desperate. Families are desperate.
Interferon is not hailed as a potential lifesaver like the other non-trialled drugs!!

Waiting is not how the world works. As an academic I know how universities and academic systems live in a quasi-universe a lot of the time...with a chosen suggestibility to rules and regulations which they feed off. Like mandarins.
But reality is not a regulation. Rules are to be bent and broken ofttimes. Tell Trump to follow a rule.
Share price also reflects the deathly silence.
So this is a tragedy for ill people and a blight on investors.
I doubt SNG read this. But they should do a reality check urgently and leave the number crunching for the analysts after a few more people have survived.
A bit presumptuous of me I think but I feel a bit of shame on the procrastinators whilst this share price is just played with for short term institutional Porsche-driving. Nay Ferraris.

My feeling-often wrong-is that we will sot in the thirties for a while in order to frustrate holders into selling at a lower price. See if I am talking tosh or reality in the next 10 days or so.

1) I too am astonished that in the present climate interferon b Is not being faster-tracked. They have guidelines but people are dying and covid is on a resurgence. Remdesivir is proven and available. H-chloroquine is unproven and available and being used at random it seems.
We are nearly mid July. The results will be known if not yet collated. With such a need for an efficient flexible ****tail to bring the world back to normality ...well ..I am astonished at how long Synairgen are taking. Guidelines or not. Every day is the last day for many people with this bug. And I know several personally who didn’t make it. Protocol is protocol. But lives are lives.
2) The share price acts as if there is no news due . Or as if it is of little relevance. To be at 37p is astonishing too. The market seems to think there is no potential nor wider options . It’s like another day at the office while Rome burns. I don’t get the depressed and depressing share price either. It’s like Symairgen is just a play-share.

Sadly the last case ( Africa-I remember it well) did not lead to eradication of the disease which has killed more people in the 19th century than any other cause. Sadly vials were keptcand stored in case of future discovery. And the vials were stolen. After 9/11 the US feared a smallpox attack and made enough doses for the whole population. Sadly we in the UK only have enoough for a small % !! Typical. I remember seeing my MP in late 2001 about it. It is not yet wholly eradicated but there are nomoutbreaks and I hope the vaccines still work . Or I’m gonna go milk some cows and do it the old-fashioned way.
No vaccine for a coronavirus has ever been found. Porton Down had been trying for decades. This may be a first but it will be through a leap in RNA/DNA technology I believe. Unless antibodies really do work and the scientists just argue with each other!
Remdesivir/Dexamethasone/early interferon b inhaled ( once proven) .....other additions to the ****tail. IMO the way forward probably.
USA had worst number of new cases on record yesterday -over 41,000. Brazil too. India bad. Mexico a 22% death rate!!
Treatment urgent.
Re. investment..I see da Boyz playing with this share more and fear another drop for their chums. But as I always say..I don’t have a bloody clue and am comfortable admitting it .

At the risk of self-contradiction I, like many others, see interferon b as already proven in its antiviral capacity. Early intervention seems to defy logic if it does not replicate with covid-19.
And as with most serious illnesses a ****tail of deugs is usually “served.”.
I never read into interviews nor even ramping RNS’s as been ripped off too much. The less ramping by CEO’s the better IMO. But right from the beginning the proof of the pudding has always lain in its eating. Results.
It’s just the market I do not trust either way.
A 18% drop in 3 days? No reason. Speaks volumes about how the market operates.
I personally detest the casino operators and hope value is proven by the drug itself whenever that is. A little while yet methinks.

Successful trialling would not indeed have been written -IMO as well - if any of the patients had died.

I would consider that our favourite MM’s may wish to take us lower first in order to spook or disappoint. They never cease to surprise me. Did not expect 42p from 50p in 3 days so anything is feasible. Even back to Placing. All said in ignorance as -like I said-they never cease to astound me with their short-term games.
Results and proximity of such seem to have been an irrelevance.
It would be nice to be optimistic about results. My reason points to optimism and my scars make me eternally wary of the market. I continually get it wrong.

Resurgence in China and SKorea....US over 20k each day.
and tell me covid is over.
Even France has risen to near 1000 again.
Treatment as essential as it ever was.
No freedom until the vulnerable have a chance.
Roll on results .
Nothing except interferon b or a potential vaccine if at all can offer hope. Antigen treatment perhaps.

Valid point made earlier was the options for the directors. They have not needed to care about the share price until option expiry. Would we be where we are now? Lol. I think not.Hence languishing s/p and little mention in meetings. Just the incredible efficiency and good govt. relationships etc. The team deserve great great credit for what they have done. Truly . They are a machine.
But they deserve shame for what they have put us through to get there.

I am still very angry at being treated like the fatted calf and taken for a ride from 28p with an unnecessary Placing down to 5 and then 8p. And the consistent promises regarding shareholder value SHORT medium and long ( see RNS earlier this year) . Load of trollop . There is no care for the private investor by Bruce-only disdain I hear. And regarding the market too ...in meetings and podcasts. . The team are a decent bunch and he is a top oil man. But a narcissistic one too.
I feel very bad for criticising...it may not be wholly fair but I am a nice guy too often. Far too often I think.

Shareholders are bottom of the list of priorities. Bruce let it slip I feel at the end woth his facetious comment about “ if you want the price up go out and buy” . We dod. And...we want long term shareholders. Well he has let the previous ones down and we are the ones who have paid for it. Great presentation and great efficient company. In a great place.. Shareholders had to pay the price.Nothing to do with Covid.
