The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Chartist. Yes there has been some dilution and there will be quite a bit more. This is how the BOD have chosen to fund this company. Now we cant predict when the placings will take place with any certainty but we can be certain they are coming. I prefer placings over borrowing huge sums and having a time deadline put upon exploration and production. Would you have preferred they borrow the money instead of issuing equity?
A very similar down tick happened just before the last placing. Possibly another one coming but then why so soon after the last one? In my opinion this is a result of having so many warrants outstanding. It means we are debt free and there is little leverage any people or institutions have over us but it will hold the SP back. It think its a much smarter option than loading up on debt but its not without its consequences. The last few RNS have seen a decrease in price meaning people are generally using them as a sell event. Its possibly people with warrants just turning a quick 100% return. All just My opinion.DYOR
Where is the rest of the money coming from? $7m from placing and $2m in reserves. $4.7 for beutong ownership $2.5 for KSK exploration $3.3 for BKM & BFS $1.5 general working capital thats $12m am I missing something?
I was quite impressed with the presentation last night. The relocation aspect is a little odd as the community is not directly above the mine just nearby. The need for relocation was for the use of blasting at the site which obviously would have an effect on the quality of life for some in the community. He said it was only a vocal minority who opposed the relocation. The company has done a lot of local work providing clean water facilities. It seems very good value at these levels. The heralded 'TSX listing' is often very overblown. I remember it with MARL a Cpl years ago and it had a similar reaction of nothing basically. But MARL was eventually bought by SSL who were listed in Canada too so it might be more a long term play listing on the TSX. All just my opinion.
Just finished the presentation and questi Me Quite heated actually. Couple of people were asked to leave. One guy asked about something that happened many years ago with someone dying and having no insurance and moaning about a payoff to an old executive. The other gentleman just moaned about stock price and how ceo had mentioned re rate previously. Ceo hit back with its cheap to bemoan a ceo about share price. I tend to agree with the ceo. This is junior mining. If you can’t stomach large drops Then this isn’t the market for you. Hink both guys were a bit drunk as well. Anyway regarding permits he mentioned hat he had met with the energy and Mining minister this week. He had also met with the presidents son which he indicated was a very good thing. He is meeting with the energy minister again in 4 weeks time in Canada. Talked about the fact they they are likely to proceed without resettlement which is one thing he has been working on so does expect the permits to be granted especially with the non resettlement option. After the two guys they didn’t take any more questions so I didn’t get to take about tsx volume.
Same thing happened with MARL. Would always miss the dates they set themselves for news release (often because it relies on third parties for the releases and they would be late) and the SP would drop only for it to shoot up when the news finally came. there hasn't been any bad news just people getting nervous and selling out because they are scared they might lose their gains. This is standard for aim stocks that have gone up a lot. Patience is the key. I wouldn't care if the SP drifted into the 6s on the back of no news. Now if there is news released that change the outlook then you can re-evaluate but this whole 'o no news maybe something wrong' BS is people trying to justify their lack of conviction. which is perfectly fine. BTW in all my years I've never seen someone sell a stock because they find another poster on a voluntary board annoying (which they could just filter out with a click of a button) yet still keep track of the board they were so annoyed about they had to sell a stock. Ridiculous.
Id be careful about assuming what peoples investment appetites are. How do you know someone who bought 20-30ks worth at 11p isn't prepared to wait a few years or top up at a lower price. BTW I made a killing with MARL by holding it for 3+ years. I was down 50% in that stock at some points but knew the fundamentals were on my side. There is a saying that AIM market is the transfer of wealth from the impatient to the patient. I quite enjoy reading your analysis of the chart but think you are projecting your lack of risk appetite onto other investors here. I used to play poker for a living. The short term ups and downs do not faze me one bit. I've dealt with much worse. BTW ive got roughly 400k shares avg is around 4.65 and haven't sold a penny and wont be anytime soon.
SOLG is not a great comparison IMO. Their huge SP rise had a lot to do with the takeover offer they rejected from (BHP if I remember right). Without a takeover offer (which I do not expect as TM has always said he wants to take to production) I don't think we will see such a big rise in such a short time. nI think this is a steasy riser over the next 3-4 years.
I think I read it as a bit worse than that. When you hear 'However, the requirement for further clinical safety and efficacy data (in the absence of bioequivalence) may affect the economic viability of the programme' I start to get very worried. 'At present the Company has suspended development activities while the Board concludes a strategic review to assess how to best realise the value of the Company's assets at the present time and/or how to best obtain better value from these assets over time' reading that means I think the BOD are considering selling asset and/or liquidation. Company is worth less than the cash in account. Im fairly new to investing in biotech companies so I might be wrong on this and this is all just my opinion.
I think the cash balance is the only thing holding the sp up. Don think there is much in the rns to see any rises.
my understanding is that they ar going apply for release in the USA with the label 'reduced GI symptoms ' instead of 'GI safe'. Is that right? The cash on account is really a bloody great figure. Very positive rns in my opinion but what the hell so I know.
I'm not sure I understand your position. You say this share is going way below 1p in an earlier post (below cash in the bank value). But your on here moaning about it. Are you shorting this stock? If you own shares may I ask why? You clearly think its going lower. Wouldn't the logical thing for you to do is sell them? AIM is the transfer of money from the impatient to the patient.
