I’m I right thinking that Farallon still hold about 5% of PANR and therefore still must report transactions ? Also, recent days slight decline in PANR SP, is the thinking that it’s Farallon dumping more stock and/or are investors moving some PANR money into 88e for some quick short term wins ?

Doubters can sit in their recliners and argue porosity/ permeability till the cows come home. This will go only one way for the foreseeable future…..

My money is on CP. Their Willow play is too politically sticky, quite expensive ($6bn to get ready), and too far (i would have thought) from all of their other assets, whereas PANR is a leisurely stroll down the road, and ON the road more importantly. Re CP Willow project and spending $6bn preparing it for production, why not look south at some neighbouring ready-made state-land assets, owned by a small friendly explorer :-))

I am still struggling a bit with the answer given to the question whether there had been any contact from a supermajor. “Be careful what you wish for” was a rather unexpected answer. I am ashamed to admit THAT is exactly what i was hoping for.
It makes absolutely zero sense, that a small outfit via one or several (maybe) interested small’ish partners, takes on what possibly could be a 5-10bn recoverable project, here in what potentially is the 2nd-last or last decade of the hydrocarbon age. The window of opportunity is (slowly) closing, why organic growth of a small exploration outfit into a large producer makes no sense in my book. I was hoping (and expecting) Jay was on the phone to super-majors every other day to offload this mega-find to somebody with a hell of. lot of cash, but if the company management are sitting silently hoping NOT to be taken over, I can only think they genuinely aspire to do it all themselves. That would of course be fine and honourable if we had another 50 years before governments call the end on hydrocarbons, but that is hardly the case. The risk of having to leave 3/4 of it in the ground due to political interference is a real risk. Time is a factor !!!

Oil, (a significant variable in all PANR evaluations) dropped 5% yesterday. BP dropped 5% yesterday.

This is the beginning of a long overdue correction. I am expecting to see SP around 180p prior to webinar in just 9 trading sessions time. (meaning another 20% to go).

Out of interest, what are the notification rules on AIM in case of a 3rd party wanting to buy out the company ?
Etc. what if a party decides to make a slightly cheeky (low) offer for the business. Presumable the BoD can ignore offers ludicrously low in relation to some parameter (MCap or whatever), but if somebody was to offer eg. MCap x2 for the business, would we defo be notified ?
I reckon it’s another matter if a party want to partner in some of the assets, where I am guessing that shareholders would NOT necessarily know of any rejected offers. Any clarification on the notification rules will be welcome :-)

We are due some sort of result re BFF. The 3 poss outcomes are downgrade/same/upgrade. Ignore “same” as insignificant in this context/scale. It’s either a down or upgrade. Everything I have heard at any parameter which matters points towards an upgrade. Especially as the pre-drill recovery factor estimate is 10%.

I guess the gentleman could have sat just under the notification threshold for a while, but reckon he is more likely to be a recent entrant.

Regardless, it’s an enormous vote of confidence, before what may well become the webinar that blows the roof off the share price. As the potential end-game scenario is getting clearer, I am sure many others with deep pockets will buy tickets for the show.

I’d be very surprised if we will not receive a mid10 digit offer on the assets shortly after a successful webinar (bff = reserves), but will be equally surprised if we end up selling to first bidder…

General question. Am I right thinking we are only 1-2 months away from 1-2 bn barrels at BFF potentially becoming classified as Reserves, assuming data is successfully verified by independent source ?

Agreed. the litmus test is the volume. If we saw 10s of millions of shared being sold into a rapidly dropping SP, i’d be worried. This, some 0.6% of float, indicates absolutely nothing. I bet its the same some 2% of total float being recirculated repeatedly, creating the volatility. As said previously, this will mature well…..

One wonders when we will be told that the BoD’s have received a $4bn bid for the business. That’ll put 125p well behind us…..

@Seahawk, or whomever is in the know, if SMD flows nicely at Alkaid this summer, it not irrelevant if SMD flows at Talitha ? I thought it was, but now think that sand/rock formation probably can be quite different at the two locations.
Also, I am right thinking that nothing tested this winter has been upgraded to reserves ?
