As all the 25% ish price increases trickle down through the international supply chains (USA, China, Europe etc) and companies have to spend money to cope with new distribution challenges and raise prices as a result, there must be a ripple effect as prices are rolled forward to the consumer. This will probably hit just about every market, and I believe we will see a rapid increase in inflation that will not be seen not just as a short term spike, but the start of the next world recession. Interest rates will need to respond rapidly which will help float this mare (August might be too soon but it depends on how quick increases come through the supply chain)!

Fully agree Hotdog1 - I had this in the bottom draw but now have to watch it as has been Hemorrhaging value on a daily basis. Despite the consolidation that promised 'stability', a 'new era' and added value, this share has been Volatile on it's way down, which makes it tricky to short.

The BOD need to focus on delivering Shareholder and Investment returns rather than navel gazing and chewing the cud (again & again). We know what domestic growth is, and how long will it take to pay off the technology (which is just an enabler and not even a game changer, and certainly not an instrument to generate income)? Is the bank ready for when we hit a new world recession?

Share holders will take the hardest hit and management will just sit it out behind their drawbridge, but I begrudge financing them. This has been run badly and when the time is right, and if this ever recovers, to coin a phrase "I'm Out". Until then, let's focus on bringing in the machines and getting rid of those duplicitous layers of management!

I know this is old ground, but such a large commitment must have been based on something, and it if has not delivered as promised, I hope someone gets penalized. This 'cash cow' is still limited in the amount of milk it can produce - regardless of the size, complexity, number of staff, consultancies, and other costs of the total milking shed operation! What new revolutionary new banking revenue ventures did they identify to justify such huge IT costs?

The residents in charge have a different set of priorities, and delivering value and growth to shareholders and justifying a value 20% below current asset values are probably at the bottom of their list (despite the usual platitudes which we will probably hear more of tomorrow). I would expect 'residential' job security and their own 'above target' bonus/stock options are top of the list. It's easy to spend someone else's money if there is no retribution for failure.

Well, there's no news, no hints, no positive speculation, no tips, a trend down to zero - so maybe better to leave with something than nothing. Maybe they will change their name again, change their strategy, raise funding and dilute, or maybe move the Head Office to Australia - and then just close the business, stick their fingers up and live the good life with impunity from the investors (as happened with LDP).

Sunday Business Post - Bank of Ireland paid senior executives nearly �62m in 2017. But they did manage to hide the trackers (and those responsible)..., and manage the share consolidation that has reduced volatility (not). The price is looking to fall back to September rates but they have managed to squeeze a small dividend out and they forecast next to no growth from interest rates and core business in months to come. Do they get Performance related bonuses or would those be extra?
