The result of the NT-2 drill surprised and surpassed the expected pre-drill result and as a result they suddenly changed tact from drill NT-3 to commission a development study and get a 25 year licence application in quick- why was that? The oil shows in the cuttings when tallied with all the condensate hanging around, the Geology (Mike Rego) and the seismic for C1 all point to a very compelling story when you add in the thicker gas sands....if only Aminex had some cash to make it all happen.... Cash - Licence - Drill - (Must be confident of the cash if they have a rig tender finishing this quarter) GL

I think it's all about the cash Dunder. The point is in 'probably' have enough cash for a longer lead time rig, bigger better and more expensive. Why would you do that when you already have a multi-drill contract with a rig a few KM's down the road? If the Rig met the specification for NT-1 and the seismic suggested the same Geology for NT-2 then as a Finance man, you would be asking strong questions about why exactly they would need higher spec, longer lead time and more expensive rig when they have one down the road. There would still of course be all the associated costs with what has also been delivered during the last year, Basin model, Development study, increase in team to meet the development plan requirements, development licence submission, CPR etc, etc How did the test go?

Well how dare I have an opinion I suppose, but there is a long list of deliverables here as stated yesterday LT, seems to me you are chasing down the wrong BOD and should be chasing the one that has delivered sweet FA. Not sure thats quite the case trrime, but it does create an issue for solo, the Zubairs already own just under 30% of Aminex and if the farmout there is announced as many expect in early June in time for a vote at the Aminex AGM in July then the Zubairs will certainly have significant control over the asset that solo own 25% of and how much does this prevent others from bidding? I still think Aminex and the Zubairs will be the likely buyers when the time comes.

His early career was spent with Devon Energy Corporation where he was an integral member of the Iron River oilfield development which saw production increase from 3,000 to 30,000 BBLS/d. Prior to joining Aminex he was Vice-President Exploration at Serinus Energy Inc and was a key member of the team that grew their Ukrainian gas production 10-fold through an aggressive drilling programme. As COO at Aminex he is responsible for operations in Tanzania and elsewhere when applicable. How many wells have you drilled exactly?

Get on with your revision lol... Ola Fjeld has 30+ years of diverse industry experience in Norway and internationally. He has worked for large international service companies as well as starting an oil and gas software company VoxelVision. The company was acquired by Schlumberger and the technologies from VoxelVision and GigaViz forms the seismic interpretation parts of the world leading G&G software package Petrel. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer of ARA Petroleum LLC responsible for two subsidiary E&P companies operating in Oman. He holds a Master�s degree from NTNU, Norway.

Still the Zubairs seem pretty clued up with their recent board appointment for the C1 multi zone target drill and beyond. Sultan Al-Ghaithi has over 18 years of industry experience and is currently Chief Executive Officer of Ara Petroleum LLC where he is responsible for two subsidiary E&P companies operating in Oman. He is a wellsite engineer by background and has previously worked with Petroleum Development Oman and Weatherford International where he was Country and Area Manager in Oman. He was appointed a Director of Aminex in October 2017.

Some good points Dunder, however if he specification of the rig was adequate with safety margin to meet the pressure at NT-1 and the pressures encountered at NT-2 were 1.25 or 2 or 3 times, then guess what...surprise! Really, you think the guy who sold the seismic software to schlumberger did not look at the NT-1 log data prior to agreeing at board level to drill NT-2 with the rig they had in place? I think you are having a laugh m8

Tarry, I agree the SP is in poor shape but if that was the main objective linked to performance then all you would hear is a load of hot air to please punters and ramp the price....bit like AIM. In O&G the hardwork has to be done way up front to realise the benefits, this work bar the C-1 drill has all largely been done and didn't Jay appear bottom of the list in the published O&G salary for main listed companies last year.....benchmarking However I quite agree, the BOD are payed plenty right now and no more increases till Phase 1 is in production would be the right message imo. Money and licence, both of which are under way, followed by the drill. I am much more concerned about the Frmout and rig contract to be honest.

Update from another BB HH I would say is expected anytime soon, crane (no need for a rig) is expected as soon as O&G approval, feedback from the investor show was flow testing expected June. SOLO - a farmout by the main holder of 75% of the main asset in Tanzania is at "advanced stages" with a large Omani coporation,This effectively values solo's 25% of the same asset. GL
