It's true they don't need the gas today steve, but the reason for the delay in the licence is due to the contract review and PSA review as reported by the Tanzanian parliament and the 11 operating companies currently in lockdown in Tanzania waiting for the review to be complete as well as the majors waiting on the same for the PSA review for the $30Bn LNG investment.

No worries, I never coined the phrase 10p party anyway and quite right when 50% of the asset is given - whoops sorry sold for $40 million, you have to adjust the upside proportionally. Of course the joke being that since the SP has fallen so much the upside is now just as large :)

I thought it was just for fun Max , you did not say you had to justify the guess nor that it would be scrutinised. If the licence is issued at the conclusion of the LNG PSA negotiations in September then it is just as possible as yours.

Who knows when they will conclude?

Repairs to turbines at Ubungo II plant now complete;
Ongoing power evacuation problems at the Kinyerezi power stations now resolved by completion of the K-1 transmission station in May 2019;
Kinyerezi-1 and Kinyerezi-2 power stations are running at near full capacity and are expected to continue throughout H2 2019;
Demand from the Dangote Cement plant (power and clinker needs) is expected to reach up to 20 MMscfd in H2 2019; and
The new Kinyerezi-1 Extension TANESCO facility is expected to begin its commissioning phase starting Q4 2019, gradually bringing on-stream demand of up to 30 MMcf/d into 2020.

3 months today since the new strategy launch so not long in the world of O&G deals. You can take the silence one of 2 ways,

1.0 They are just sitting in an office doing nothing.

2.0 The silence is because they are working on the said strategy and deals and until something is signed we will hear very little.

Which ever you believe, both options are frustrating for shareholders but if it's #2 then they can say nothing till at least a mou or HoT is signed.
