Well Crusty, there is little direct evidence for your opinion and for mine & as per usual with the complete lack of communication and clarification from any of the JV partners, all we can do is guess and speculate as to what is going on.

My personal opinion is that there is probably more going on in the background regarding wider consolidation of gas assets in Tanzania between the current operators and JV partners as Orca, WEN and AEX have all said that that is what they are looking to do along with SOLO confirming they have the asset up for sale or at least some part. So I suppose that is at least my tentative evidence, oh and the fact that as per the terms of the licence extension the JV are supposed to be negotiating a GSA.

Who knows as we are told SFA....

Could do with seeing something delivered whilst waiting on the seemingly endless ongoing negotiations between the Zubairs + JV and the Tanzanian Gov. I understand there maybe several moving parts beyond just PSA's, GSA's & licences with AEX, WEN, ORCA talking Tanzanian M&A along of course with solo's 25% of Ruvuma hanging out there.

A lot at stake with potentially around 10 to 20 years gas supply and export pipelines in the mix.

Evening Crusty. The article seems a pretty good summary of the political led lack of progress and what seems to be an almost paranoid stance by the president when dealing with FDI, which has and is declining significantly in TZ as a result.

As for second guessing Magufuli , I gave up when he ran of to his home village during the early days of CV19 and told the country to pray. If that is the extent of his tactical approach to deal with domestic business (health), then heaven help the TZ population.

Still apparently and according to Dr John, Tanzania is all but clear of Covid, his call to prayer must have worked....

I think its more likely that the BOD are holding back the accounts and how much has been spent on the failed deal till they get good news, most likely being the FO completion between AEX and the Zubairs.

I still believe the delays are surrounding additional Tanzanian M&A and maybe even solos 25%

I think I heard the same around 3.5p AA.

They seem to be passengers like the rest of us waiting on the Ruvuma FO to complete. On completion we should expect to see if they have been busy lining up a buyer at a price over two times current mcap or not.

I am expecting the FO completion to trigger AEX/SOLO + others operators M&A

If the vote at the AGM (whenever that may be) is passed for the BOD share options then they are already at the exercise price.

We all are mj, seems to make little difference which BOD is in charge as the pace seems wholly dictated by the Tanz gov.

The FO is probably the catalyst for related asset M&A, so who knows what's going on behind the scenes to carve the assets up.

Been quite a few the last few weeks, some positions have been built for sure. It's a cracking asset with significant upside potential post FO....whenever that might be?
