Intro; Galileo Resources is an opportunity driven company focused on building strategic partnerships in key locations across Southern Africa and North America. Specialising in copper and critical battery metals crucial to the green energy transition, Galileo leverages advanced project acquisitions with unrealised potential and accelerates them towards production via modern innovative data-driven solutions.
Subsequent to the latest JV/Collaboration on the 28th Nov, Galileo's portfolio now consists of 9 active prospects. These are;
/ LUANSOBE a small scale copper open-pit with extensive underground potential, 15 km distance and along strike from the 9Mt (contained) copper producing Mufulira Mine and Processing facility. A decision to mine is imminent.
/ SHINGANDA a large scale exploration licence in western Zambia. Drilling to date includes an intercept of 50.3m @ 1.54% Cu from 21m and is also highly prospective for IOCG (copper-gold) type mineralisation.
/ WESTERN FORELAND is a large scale exploration licence in the highly soughr-after Northwest Province of Zambia where significant potential exists for sedimentary hosted copper deposits akin to the nearby Komoa-Kakula complex (Ivanhoe).
/ KALAHARI COPPER BELT the new go-to destination for copper exploration globally, Galileo holds 9 exploration licences, 3 core, PL39, 40 and 253 located in Botswana and proximal to Cobre's Kitlaya West, Ngami projects, Sandfire's Motheo Mine, A4(Dome) and the Khoemacau Mine complex resource totalling 503Mt @ 1.4% Cu.
/ KAMATIVI's 520 sq km licence area adjacent to the Kamativi Tin Mine and lithium Processing facility prospective for lithium, tin, rare earths and copper in Zimbabwe.
/ FERBER's licence area very recently extended by 89 claims in Nevada, USA prospective for copper, gold and metals critical to the US security/defence agenda.
/ MOLEFE a mining services collaboration between Jubilee Metals and Galileo to plan, expand and coordinate operations at the Molefe open-pit for ore feed stock transported to the Sable Refinery at Kabwe, Zambia.
/ KASH ITU is located 5 km from the Sable Refinery for small scale mining engaging with local artisanal miners and interested third parties for the potential development of a high-grade zinc willemite operation.
/ BULAWAYO GOLD for 2 licences EPO 1783 and 1784, 1,300 sq km with extensive Greenstone Belt rock formation and host to numerous quartz reef gold mines and deposits in Zimbabwe. Currently on the back-burner awaiting licence renewal.
