Thanks for an interesting link. I am still finding it hard to get to grips with this company, even though it has played so well in my ISA. I also cannot understand how it can pay to launch real rockets and satellites. Who makes them all and who designs them all? The risks must be enormous.

I have to admit that I have been very lucky with this share. I bough at 56p in January 2012 having read about the new products about to be released. It has fulfilled the promise. I am hooked. As soon as I find some more cash I will again be buying again as I think we are only half way up the hill. Don't march back down again yet. Even the analysts are promising more if... Only the opinion of a lucky punter of course, but make sure you look at Vectura's pipe line for the next 24 months

It could be a real loss for Santander. RBS are saying that they do not wish to sell the branches because they are ALL profitable. However it does seem inconsistent to be selling in South America at the same time as spending in UK. In these troubled European Waters conserving capital might be for the best.

The C330 Royal Oak Portal contract in west London, for which a Costain Skanska joint venture (CSJV) was the contractor, has won Crossrail’s first ‘Whole Project Award’ under the CEEQUAL scheme. CEEQUAL is the assessment and awards scheme for improving sustainability in civil engineering and the public realm. It aims to demonstrate the commitment of the civil engineering industry to environmental quality and social performance. That's a good question. I would not regard this investment as particularly risky. The shares are fairly liquid, though not over traded. £2+ is an average sort of price. Why is the spread so wide?

Royal Bank of Scotland was sent back to the drawing board last night as a £1.65bn deal to offload 316 branches to rival lender Santander collapsed more than two years after it was struck. The price was based on the value of the net assets plus a £350m premium. The deal promised to vault the Spanish-owned lender ahead of HSBC to give it the fourth-largest UK branch network and hike its market share of small and medium-sized businesses from 3 per cent to 8 per cent. Banco acquired Abbey National in 2004, then Alliance & Leicester and Bradford & Bingley were bolted on at bargain-basement prices. However, the group has also been dogged by complaints over its poor customer service and has realised difficulties over the integrations required, including the all important computer systems. This may not be a bad step for Banco but it will re-awake the past interest from others like Virgin.

Smith(DS) is a well organised company supplying a wide market with necessary packaging. As share prices pick up it will surely stick above the £2.00 mark and perhaps move on to £2.20. The analysts rate DS as a buy but only target £2.07 or so on average. I think they are not allowing for a history of steady growth. The management were brave enough to cut the dividend a few years back to enable growth, but is seeing the dividend go from 3% to 6% since. This is a share to hold, not gamble with.

Maybe I'm easily persuaded but I have more and more confidence in Tony Rice and Tim Pennington. They seem very focused on the future being in mobile data for business, public and government. They have reorganised the finances to be able to continue the large investment needed for this. Yes they have reduced the dividend but it is still excellent and the money really is being used to grow the company. I find myself looking forward to 8th November, lets hope it is a bang rather than a damp squib. I am particularly looking for efficiency savings.

On 21st September 2012 Inmarsat PLC announced that it purchased, for cancellation from J.P. Morgan Securities Ltd, 22,212 ordinary share at an average price per share of 588.0847p.

Always a switch back ride. Still has not returned to previous highs in mid september, Early May and New Year. This time when the price breaks 120p will it stay there?

Looking at the results just out, at the rapid growth plans and the determination to develop into 'new media', Centaur has to be a buy again.
