I am sorry to hear c26 that you lost all your money investing when AML was much higher. That cannot be nice.

You have to put it behind you now though, losing money is one thing, your losing your mental health is worse. Money cannot buy time, you have to move on.

On a plus note, looks like all the 60 Goldfinger edition DB12s have sold. If you are still in C26 you will get some recovery in the year ahead.

So could it be the case then C26 bought AML at the wrong time, then sold at the wrong time.

I was reading the hundreds of comments left following a group test including the AM Vantage.

It is clear that it is a brand now in strong demand with a high desire factor.

Ah, I see the ward sister has let C26 have his phone back.

So Aston 157 for Sept vs 90 for Ferrari and Lamborghini. That shows a lot of promise.

It is an attractive sounding product, especially for those unfortunate enough to need the treatment. So why the delay in meaningful take up?

I cannot see this stock getting lower now, however I can see it drifting in the high 20s unless they get their finger out and achieve some worth while sales.

What puzzles me is, are those who stumped up the extra £12m suckers or is there better news few know about?

300p will take 12m+ of positive cash flow I think.

200p is quite possible on the first positive results.

As stated, I am now sticking in here until May 25 at least. Rain or shine.

My theory on the recent update is this.

They could have waited until the next scheduled update on the 30th.

The reason they did not is to draw a line under past performance, clear the bad news so the new CEO starts a positive outlook. It makes sense rather than giving him heavy baggage to carry.

See it shows 0.90 shorts. Everyone has their own strategy, I'd have thought most would have cashed in on shorts yesterday. Brave if bought at this level although its possible more negative info gets released on the 30th.

If they get into 2025 without big problems (i do expect bumps between now and then) I can see 200p by May 25.

That would get me a free Vantage, if I lose everything on these now I have lost nothing as only in on the previous profits.

I'd say year end production is still an estimate. What is important to me is they are producing cars and those cars are getting very good reviews.

The toughest year is nearly done.

Next year there are few reasons not to pass break even, maybe even shifting some debt.

Not in the clear just yet but a lot closer than they were and at a much better price too.

I think the 1000 cars comes from 5000 in H2 instead of a forecast 6000. The additional numbers for the full year are probably some of the special editions and earlier run out models from H1 before production stopped.

I did not say AML are doing very well. If they were the price would be 250p + and of less interest to me.

You pick shares you think could do very well, unless you are just looking for a steady dividend.

I am happy with the risk vs reward on AML.

C26, you show your lack of knowledge on so many levels.

1. In 10 years Aston will need a new product line. Yes it will cost money, the fact it will be EV or combustion is neither here or there. They will NOT have to design an EV drive system, they will adapt an existing one from Merc, or maybe even Honda by then.

Every car company has the same cycle to plan.

3. 5000 cars in 6 months, that is a lot of sales and a major feat for an all new product line. The fact they have moved production into 2025 H1 in order to smooth the flow sounds sensible to me.

They are producing complex machines with many parts and suppliers, not stamping out widgets.

If they can produce 5000 cars on new lines in the first 6 months it gives me a lot of faith in what they can produce and sell in 2025

I wouldn't keep buying back in if I had serious doubts. The brand is up there, so now too is the product. The cars are very, very good now. Go and try one, watch all the reviews.

1st, EV development will be a breeze. They will just use a merc complete system. Next to zero development cost for what will be the best out there by then. That is many years away yet anyway.

Demand is high, I struggled to get a slot for a test drive of the new Vantage. The DBX is in high demand and pre orders are stacked high for the new V12.

Yes, demand for most cars has softened this year but there are a lot of millionaires in this world who want a cool car that is a bit more practical / less flash than a Ferrari. Many owners will have both.

If you had ever owned such cars yourself you would understand.

The question on Aston is can they get rolling without further delays?

Thats my guess, I am well up after a number of trades over the last 6 months so I do not mind the risk. Even if they do drop on a new issue, I think they will recover.
