We can only wait to see the offer although the delay itself is making me more suspicious and I feel we might even need a good answer as to why it has dragged on for so long. But let's first see the offer to determine if we think it is derisory - if that is the case we have plenty of options listed further down the message board.

£3 is looking to be creating a little resistance level here but once it break through, I would be predicting a steady rise towards 360p. Sadly I bought on the dip so have more than enough here to keep me happy.

If Aberdeen are selling, I'm more confident doing the opposite. We're now less than a week away from the arrival of the tracker funds and/or "smaller companies" active funds.

Life insurers will hedge their exposures to interest and inflation since high exposures to either will lead to excessive capital requirements. As a result, rising yields or inflation will lead to assets and liabilities moving in tandem with no clear gain flowing to the insurer. There are also second-order exposures that insurers face to longevity and interest (falling interest rates leads to higher capital requirements) but PHNX has historically hedged this too - while this gives greater certainty of cash generation, it means PHNX is exposed to rising interest rates.

This is all viewing assets and liabilities from a regulatory standpoint - I can't speak for the accounting treatment but I don't consider this a meaningful measure of the business.

I'm hoping rather that this can go beyond £3. That's barely above my break-even point.

We can't be too far off from an update here. Surely a substantial valuation uplift coming up.

Here's one for starters - though that is not to say that the SP won't drop. A 3% drop will see the dividend yield at 4.7% which is a great return for a business that has long term growth prospects. Quite an easy add if the market takes a bit of a dive and the same logic applies to the big dividend yield companies where prices have been on a bit of a run recently.

Most oil and gas stocks will be winners probably also defence stocks. Tech stocks ought to be fairly resilient too. And gold.

I've never taken LUCY all that serious from a TEK viewpoint as it is more of a rounding error in the grand scheme of things. For all I care, they can use their holding to fund costs/overheads in much the same way they have with BELL.

When you consider how much disruption to Red Sea routes caused by the Houthis, it's not hard to imagine Iran being able to seriously disrupt oil traffic through that narrow sea lane.

While it might not be very logical for them to retaliate in this manner, I don't think we are operating here in a logical world and the Iranian leaders have a domestic audience to appeal to. That said, I suspect we are still a few steps away from this happening - I think they will first attack US bases in the region and/or maybe US interests a little further afield.

It's always a bit disheartening seen these sorts of funds trading at such high discounts to NAV, particularly as the investments are in high growth areas. But I can see the SP being stuck here for long and decided make some room in my ISA for a little dabble here. The SP can rise 50% and I will still get a tax credit for any selling from my GIA.

I read "Court of Thorns and Roses" and didn't think it was any good. A sort of low-quality JK Rowling - or at least the Potter books.

The good news is that I am not the target audience and one of her other books is top of the paperback charts this week again. BBC website is running an article on "romantasy" which will tell you all you need to know about the readers. Quite heavily overweight here but relaxed that the growth potential is there and I'll get my money back soon enough.

With a fair wind, I think this is likely. There doesn't appear to be much resistance on the upside but plenty of support at 260p giving quite a sizeable trading range in which to operate - enough perhaps to tempt me to take a small overweight position at the lower level.

The Iran-Israel war is still a concern and on that front I'm less bullish. I think the market is pricing a little too much into the TACO aspect and not enough into the threat to sea-routes posed by Iran and the Houthis. Not a time to be going short on oil.

Much as the momentum is here, I decided to cash a little profit here from my ISA holding and move the funds into some venture capital fund for the longer term. I still hold 60% of my investment but a 36% annualised return was screaming at me to get some of that locked down.

The biggest confounding variable here is probably group overheads and I hope the circular addresses what level we should be expecting going forward. At current feed rate we can expect copper to be making profit but can it make enough to cover the overheads when there is no contribution from PGMs.

Well yes that is true in principle but it means that there are fewer profitable cases they can take on because the "price" of litigation funding is more expensive. It's all fairly standard supply-demand economics where tax increases reduce both the profitability and volume of the product.

For existing cases it seems like it is a pure hit to net profits.

I'm guessing that this figure wasn't the position held on 5th June, but was based on some earlier unspecified date - probably from when there were c203m TEK shares.

Unsurprisingly the BBC are much "greener" with there output and some of this is down to where their reporters/managers are selected from. But on the whole it is consistent with a broad scientific consensus
