Why would you sell and lose £30k. Would it not be more sensible to simply hold for the long term?

Who ever expected it to slide back from 1135 to 979 on 26 June! It didn’t last long and soon advanced again. CCL is a very volatile share so the opportunity may present itself.

I top sliced a few days ago and put the profits into AZN when they tumbled. I’m now waiting for a Ccl correction to around £10 before topping up again.

You’re right, the profits I made in Kod are already working hard in Ccl. I’ll check in now and then but for now I’m done.

This is going to drag on for years before investors get any return on their investment. I’m glad I decided to sell and invest in ftse 250 shares. Aim is for gamblers not investors imo.

I forgot to mention, in relation to this particular share I won’t be adding at the moment because I think it will fall significantly more before there is any sign of recovery. The covid luxury watch secondary market bubble has burst and imo Wosg has yet to feel the full effects. In the next few months I would expect this to be sub 600.

Noggers, as long as the fundamentals are alright it’s usually safe to buy on the way down. Inevitably good companies will rise again and you’ll have made decent profit. When Haleon were launched last year their price plummeted immediately to 293.14. I bought in at that stage only to see them plummet to 252 in August. I bought some more. In Dec 2022 I sold the lot at 325.57. If you have faith in your company and have done your homework theirs nothing wrong in buying a dip.

Thanks Romanwolf. My intention was to hang on and hope for 1p or more. But having seen what happens with this aim share (and others) when news breaks I’m not sure 1p is feasible at the moment. There is normally a spike that lasts for a very short time and the sp slides back to what it was. This has happened with eee, Delt and even Harl which released fantastic news of a mod contract to build warships. It shot up for a couple of hours then slid back. It is now languishing at 13.65p from a high of 29p, leaving a lot of investors underwater. I decided to take my kod profits on Wednesday and sit on the sidelines. I would have been gutted to lose those profits. I think even if funding is confirmed next week there is a very long way to go before the company is actually pulling anything out of the ground. I therefore think the sp will slide back to what it was in February. I will keep an eye on it and if I see an opportunity, I’ll dive back in.

I do hope you’re right. Having done my own research I decided to pull out yesterday. So fortunately I made a small profit having purchased at 0.4. I have a gut feeling that this is not going to be a multi bagger in the immediate future. GLA.

Has anyone taken a good look at Hainan Mining finances? I only ask because I’ve come across an investment website that has it shown as a ‘strong sell’.

I agree but I think you need to pick volatile shares. This one seems to just sink lower and lower. I suspect there may be some underlying issues which is why BlackRock have reduced their position.

Btw, My best performing shares are Ccl. I’ve been in and out for the last year.

They are the only ones making money out of these shares. Everyone else is losing money!
