Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Monet2 - that site can be good but it does vary by company. Always best to check / confirm to primary sources (RNS and company website calendar) rather than relying on 3rd party data service providers. At least they (dividenddata) have the good sense to currently state:
"As of 13 Mar 2024 no upcoming ex-dividend date has been declared for a company with EPIC 'PHNX'
which is entirely correct at this time. I'll come back with more detail once voli replies.
I have done, and I will share it once I know where those dates were published.
Voli.zh - what's your source for that? You need to provide a name for the source or better still a link to their website. Some of the dates look wrong and the Interim date are just a guess, not fact.
EZY-UP - do you mean there was a discussion at the AGM and the BoD indicated they were considering a buyback, or are you referring to Resolution 19 being passed giving authorisation to do so?
Correction to my post below on the timing of Dick's results on Thursday:
12pm GMT is the equivalent UK time for their conference call at 8am EST. The actual results are to be released "before the market opens" with no specific time given, but would expect that to be up to an hour before the call to give folk time to read them first. So perhaps expect the Algos to go into overdrive from around 11am GMT.
Note also that the US went to Daylight Savings on 10th March so EST/New York is currently just 4 hours behind UK instead of the usual 5 hours, until we go forward an hour to BST on the 31st. So NYSE market currently opens at 1.30pm GMT each day instead of the usual 2.30pm.
Confused? Excellent, then my work here is done ;o)
Broad sector read across, often happens regardless of the facts, until people check the detail. Other airlines took a dip earlier as well, although seem to be recovering now.
Yup, pure fiction. As it says just below that table "Forecast accuracy - 30%". That's the problem with using 3rd party news/media websites, they often just guess dates when they don't know but they never tell you it's just a guess. Alliance News, Morningstar, dividenddata, broker websites - all do similar and are often wrong. Always best to use RNS or the company website calendar as they are the only primary sources.
The dividendmax declaration date appears to be taken from the 2022 results date, so well out of line already. Their XD and Pay dates are just guesses based on the dates last year.
This year's divi will be announced in the FY results release on 24th May, no-one will know before then what the actual divi details will be.
You posting that on the wrong board, TomBeef?

They've maybe gone for the last possible day "in March" to give them as much recent data as possible to help with their FY25 guidance, which will be released at the same time. Don't want another mishap later in the year after an unrealistic target.
It looks like a typo - someone entering a trade price of 578.8 in error and then it would be immediately cancelled and replaced with the correct trade at 548.8, all timed the exact same when the trade was published. I can't confirm that 100% as the stock exchange list for some reason never seems to show the deleted trade when this happens, it just shows 2 x 10,000 trades at those two prices recorded with the exact same time. And, frustratingly, the Morningside trade list I can see only goes back to 43 seconds/3 trades after the trade time for this and they would normally show the deletion otherwise. Would need someone with Level 2 access on here to confirm the deletion from the extended list.
But it happens fairly often, known as a 'fat finger entry' in the biz (4 and 7 next to each other on the keyboard), so I'm 99% certain that's the likely explanation.
JD fell nearly 8% on 22nd August last year after Dick's profit miss, then fell another c.6% the following day after Footlocker miss. Reverse happened in November after Dick's picked up again, albeit not as large a rise. So sector read across is very significant here and we already took a c.5% Footlocker hit last week (as well as some traders taking profit at 120p).
Dick's report at 12 noon UK time on Thursday, and it's their Q4/FY results so will be significant and worth watching for SP movement here at that time. Adidas first on Wednesday though.
I have just sample checked a few more results dates to Morningstar - it's a disaster. Better to always refer to RNS or the company's own website calendar if they have one.
It looks like their database needs a specific date entered, they can't just put in a month. Where an RNS just states say "April" they appear to default to that being the last business day but they don't annotate it as that to warn you. I found one company website calendar with "early May" and Morningstar have decided to enter that as 3rd May, possible based on the results date last year. They also do some times in the absence of any other announcement - it's just a guess but they don't tell you that. A few more examples were just plain wrong on their database, not updated for most recent company announcements.
I thought Alliance News were bad but Morningstar only had 2/10 dates in my sample accurate!
Hopefully the UK market will have got out the doldrums long before then on it's own, or half of it already sold off to PE at undervalue before the £5k even has a chance.
Might be in place by end of next tax year. From the Treasury consultation doc:
"4.1 Following consultation, the government will confirm the final scheme design before bringing forward any necessary legislation. It will also set out more detail on the timeframe for implementation and the necessary reporting tools."
Consultation is running from 6 March to 6 June 24.
Alessandro - update is this month, they haven't announced a specific date yet.
PSK - that looks like a transfer between IIs. This site marked it as "unknown" because the SP was outside the spread at that time (possibly a pre-agreed price). LSE nearly always mark "unknown" for all trades outside the spread, bang in the middle (because then they can't try to guess the origin) or late reported.
Thanks, I see that on Morningside now. I think they are just guessing based on "April" in the RNS as they won't have any more information than the rest of us. Common problem with third party news services, the Alliance News 7 day ahead reports are frequently wrong as well and I think they have now blocked my email address from contacting them :/
Hollywood Bowl doing okay for me, I posted a few things there and they got catapulted into the FTSE 250 this week. Drifting at the moment possibly waiting for trackers to load up I think, HY update maybe due in April after busy Easter period. Could always dip in the short-term though so not advice to dive in until you DYOR.
Amica1 - where are you seeing 30th April for Finals? I have just "in April" in my calendar from the last update RNS.
Might see a Q1 update before then (per previous years) which normally includes notice of the date for the finals.
Relevant text from Chancellor's speech:
"We have become Europe’s largest film and TV production centre with Idris Elba, Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom all filming their latest productions here.
Studio space in the UK has doubled in the last three years. At the current rate of expansion, we will be second only to Hollywood globally by the end of 2025.
In the Autumn Statement, I committed to providing more tax relief for visual effects in film and high-end TV. I can today confirm we will increase the rate of tax credit by 5% and remove the 80% cap for visual effects costs in the Audio-Visual Expenditure Credit.
Having worked closely with the Culture Secretary and listened carefully to representations from companies like Pinewood, Warner Brothers and Sky Studios, we will provide eligible film studios in England with 40% relief on their gross business rates until 2034.
And having heard representations from the British Film Institute, PACT and indeed the Prime Minister, we will introduce a new tax credit for UK independent films with a budget of less than £15m."
Thank you LSE202020.
Not good for anyone not registered with X though, and unless they plan to put it in an RNS then it should at least be in the news section on the website as well. Or preferably have a calendar on the website, something few AIM companies seem to want to do but standard practice for most on the main market.
Darien - where are you seeing 21st March for YE results? Can't find that date announced anywhere.
Nice, thanks for posting. Other data was maybe a bit mixed for food sales but this looks like it was mixed in our favour :)
