Abject With the Sp at this level I think Altice would bid at £2.90 but DT £3.30. In the event of a feud between the two of them perhaps as high as a final bid of £3.50.
All these prices are cheap given the potential future and you get EE thrown in.
Abject - yes I am along with you.
I buy the shares directly into my ISA and sell some out of my Isa when they rise bought the September Div into ISA at £1.16 and their not ISA counterparts will be sold when I book my next Winter Sunshine in January .
Jolly Christmas to All .

Mr Drahi - or Altice can only go to just under 30% before having to make a bid .
He was just under 25% at the last call …………
Will be getting close if he reinvested his dividends ……
I am going with Team JP Morgan ……….
Ally Bally - genuine error - did not have my glasses on !!
I am in the ‘there will be a bid ‘ camp so just wish it would default to STRONG BUY for my postings.
Thank you for noticing though and alerting me !
On the subject of the bid - I still think it will come from DT not Altice.
TWEEDLY thanks for the info - that makes sense .
Looking at the BT.A Share Trades I see over 20 trades of less than 10 shares many for just 1 or 2.
What are these and how are they affordable with charges etc?
Thanks in advance for any answers.
Allybally - my thoughts exactly.
Research done there for Altice and DT …… and only days away before the cuffs are off.
Does anyone have a clue on what the £30 million trades on 23,935,978 shares were yesterday?
They were transacted at £1.25 ish and can be viewed by selecting yesterday in the share trades.
Looks like a large wedge? Has a Share Save Scheme mautured they had had to buy shares for/
TIA.

Yep £3.50 should get it over the line.
Remember the SKY bid - pitched it right and sailed through.
Still think DT will be the driving force in it all though.

Mr Drahi last topped up on May 23rd ………. Then ruled himself out of a take over bid …….. for 6 months.
The six months are nearly up and his potential bidding partner DT is cash rich ……
Watch this space …………..
Mr Drahi has indicated he is not willing to increase his BT stake at the moment due to the War.
But I think he will strike at the time of least expectation……. Or DT will……..

@FredRubble I laughed so hard at your comment - spilt my tea and had to change my shirt.
Well done on starting the day with a laugh rather than the whinging and moaning and sniping on here.

Yes if you are not voting Labour vote Reform and split the right wing vote keeping the Tories out.
Reform just lost the Tories By-Elections in the same way the SDP split the Left vote in the 1980’s.
As SOM said previously it seems talking about rake overs are forbidden or frowned up.
My opinion (not to be confused with desire) is that a bid is coming and soon - in fact as soon as this month now Mr Drahi is free from his self imposed 6 month promise not to Mount one.
So without stimulating the whys and wherefores - who like me thinks similar.
Simply state BID or NO BID .
Incidentally BID is the 1141 code for my home telephone exchange .
Back in the Summer BT fearful of an ‘imminent’ takeover bid - put together or recruited a Takeover Defence Team.
They have been very successful in driving the share price down.
Should DT or Altice be about to mount a bid now Mr Drahi ‘s 6 months out time is nearly up I am sure gratitude is due from them.
@fleccy What/who do you think the big off book purchase was ??
Well this will bugger up Marcus Brigstocks unfunny stand up rant about BT Broadband.
For those of us with an index linked pension increment next April 6.7% is the news.
OAP with the triple lock should be paid at 8.5% but only if the Politicians deliver on their promises.
Amen.
