Might be wise nearer the time to production ramp ups to consider an alternative listing to a larger market. I say this as our mcap should? be passing the £1 billion pound marker, thats without the other components coming to fruition. Obviosuly thats assuming Pala havent sold out to China at this time. If they do will SRX stay on aim? or will china keep and aim and introduce a dual list to a nearer market? shanghai etc? or some various options for consideration? Corbs :-)

I wonder that myself-However bear in mind-a potential 60-70 year mine life, already fine tuned, modernised, final parts coming to fruition, rutile as other commods will flux with cycles, the cost per tonne has been averaged down drastically over past 5 years to be world leading. The deposits are worlds largest Nuturale Rutile deposit, lead by top team in Pala and the Sisay BOD, then compare competitors price per tonne and quality -then take into account the China articles i posted up-the process used there and the fact China is heavily polluted through the Country as well as the Rutile process-Chinese Rutile producers will go through a Cull with M and A and environmental clean up to survive, yet SRX is also morphing into a green gold business too with the Agri business model, also the energy sector with the recent rns. Other than current price weakness in Rutile theyre still fetching a multiple of 2009 spot prices arent they? and when the $2000-$2500 plus prices return the income stream in line with upswing in production to circa 250,000tonnes per annum (plus associated ilmenite-zircon etc) will see the bank balance swell and id expect finally to see some form of divi coming to fruition too, especially as the special divi that was mooted yet to appear. Not resting on their Laurels and moving ahead of competitors, planning for the future to capture the benefits? just a few thoughts Strummer ….. Corbs :-)

ok-thanks-was thinking last night about nickel future price re indonesia- one hand it should of course help the price rise, but are there other smaller operators waiting in the wings globally that can come to feed the market as the price moves?, ie they would then be viable? did some firms go dormant and others bust during the nickel squeeze earlier in the cycle? and what of any new firms coming to the market? ie peer comparisons of sorts for talv? (although their process is unique). corbs:-)

Is only part of the restructuring. Painful for the workers, the debt couldnt be allowed to increase otherwise Bankruptcy/insolvency was clear. Cut costs immediately and redesign the business model from scratch-infrastructure already in place. Id rather see a small going concern that can be viable and build on its strengths as production increases then take on more workers. Not letting history repeat itself of course. Im curious with the footnote part of rns… "Talvivaara has secured a 10-year off-take agreement for 100 per cent of its main output of nickel and cobalt to Norilsk Nickel and entered into a long-term zinc streaming agreement with Nyrstar NV." Does this imply a new agreement has been made during restructuring? with Nyrstar etc or a continuation of the old deal, revisited? if so its actually good news that talv have been able to get a streaming agreement in place during this difficult time. just a few thoughts-Corbs. gl Talv - whats the next step? more detail please, much more detail :-)

Pass-some say it will, but lets see how the nickel price reacts this year and how much production talv gets over the coming months -Any ?deals cut etc (can they cut production deals during the restructuring? or will they be interim deals court sanctioned? (temporary) -will the interim administrator have limits on what he can work with?) until they come through the process? (if-assuming all is ok?) trying to find some depth in research here, theories and thoughts on where, how and why things will move up or down. Ie wheres the funds going to come from to get production up-pay wages-materials-maintenance- etc. even during the interim administration hell need a big fat cheque book. The Administrator is acting as an interim during this process? assuming all goes well and the restructure is successful? im wondering how Nyrstar changed their stance? if they allowed the liquidation possibility earlier they would have ended up with sweet fanny adams , other than a write off. damage to their sp /mcap has already happened. Can one summise they might get something back from Talv with the previous agreement and see some light of their 200 plus million euros? with offtakes? as previously contracted? with Nyrstar /Talv? otherwise why bother agreeing to it when youve lost over 200 million? i wouldnt do business with the customer again and heads should roll at Nyrstar anyway for going so deep without having done sufficient due diligence on the earlier deal, its clear to an average investor digging that the deal was high risk as Talv was with its teck and other matters that have always lurked in the background, ive lost a few ££ with Nyrstar -will put it down to experience. Its cost them a lot dearer to date so wheres the heads on plates? will they even accept (Nyrstar ) that the deal was high risk and flawed from the outset? the instigator of the teck openly admits it was only proven small scale and has since sold her holdings- shambles? with potential? yet theyve not once met target when they were producing, always a problem, always an excuse. imo-jmo-Corbs:-)

Jan Vapaavuori (NCP), the Minister of Economic Affairs, has estimated in an interview with Hufvudstadsbladet that Talvivaara will need much more than the 40 million euro requested in its debt restructuring application. 40 million euro will not last very long, the minister told to the Swedish-language newspaper. “It's delusional to think that everything would be fine if the state only handed out the money,” said Vapaavuori. In addition, he reiterated that a scenario in which the state alone supports the cash-strapped company is entirely out of the question. “By deviating from this principle, we would establish precedent and would have to receive further petitions for assistance,” the minister viewed. Two years ago, Marja Riekkola-Vanhanen was one of the biggest shareholders of Talvivaara. Since then she has sold most of the shares. Morning Matlot -Guess who Marja is? ;-)

Take into account funding required to ramp up production, and what of the creditors? will all debt get written off? and nyrstar in for over 200 mill euros? still much needs to be worked on before a mcap heads towards one billion- not a clear picture yet- time extension for now - still much to be done and no permit at mo for you know what due to previous issues and police enquiry- give it time to see how they manage to work some solutions to what is still intensive care. some large investors folded their hands recently and recent trades are mainly piece meal from speculators. years back 100k trades , were common throughout the day- current trading is pittance in comparison. jmo-imo :-)
