I have been investing in exploration companies over many, many years, some good and some not so good.
I appreciate the steps and time neccessary to obtain an outcome but it appears to me, and maybe others, that ALBA's priorities have not always been correct and some items that should have been done at a far earlier stage were not done.
I have no intention of selling up and will maintain my investment and wait for a long time to get a decent return. I would not however consider increasing my investment! Each to their choice.
Scotalba, Robbie Your suggestions to buy buy,buy perhaps could be a good move but in view of the continual depreciation of the Sp, could it be a case of throwing more money into what appears to be a company that seems a long way off from achieving its purpose which is to mine gold? I have a heavy investment in ALBA but am doubtful about increasing my stake.
Any available funds I have will be put into ANGS, gas flow expected within two weeks.
I do hope that you are right and your optimism is justified.
Waiting for drone permits for more exploration? Couldn't this have been done a year ago? We already have multiple rich targets according to Alba so concentrating on even more without mining any of them? I am very familiar with the history of Welsh mining, the premium price(although a little sceptical about the size of the premium) and the history of Alba's mines.
Item on twitter right now from Alba showing a gold ingot and stating that Welsh gold sells at a premium.
The trouble is that we aren't producing any so what is the point of this. I get the feeling that everything has stopped
waiting for the de-watering permit and nothing else seems to be happening. After all that endless exploration which showed other targets, no mining has even started. After all this time there is nothing to show. I am heavily invested in Alba and am unhappy about the lack of progression. They say that they have other avenues of mining but none of these are being initiated. Do they even have the permits for these? We get people on here exhorting us to buy at such a low price to enhance the SP but even when this happens the price keeps going lower and is showing no signs of recovery.
This company needs to sort itself out and soon!
I can't help feeling that if all the required permits, spoil tip, dewatering etc, had been anticipated and applied for months or even longer ago then the present situation would be very different! Even initial surveys should have revealed what needed to to be done in order to re-open the mine but were not acted on.
What is so frustrating to me and I presume others is that everything seems to have come to a halt pending hopeful permission for the de-watering. They have said they have other avenues to mine while this is happening but what are they doing? Can they start mining in other areas and are they doing so? How about letting us know exactly what is happening now. It appears that they do not yet have permission to mine the spoil heaps and if they want to start mining elsewhere
then I understand that they also need permission for that. Has this been applied for? Just tell us what is happening and what activity is presently taking place.
They must have been aware that the spoil tips had the possibility of providing gold at a very early stage in the proceedings so why wasn't this investigated very much earlier, even last year, so that permits could have been obtained and processing started. Insead they prospected far and wide and although these results were good, the tip could already have been producing. Maybe the sequence of events should have been very different.
