But surely the closing of Argyle was not the reason to bring FDI into being. It was intended to become a profitable concern in its own right without other factors. It didn't work that way and Argyle has only come into the equation recently and making an impact because FDI did not perform as expected! That was the problem! If FDi had succeeded in a big way which was expected then Argyle is irrelevant!

I wonder why the high initial assessment of the quality of the deposits here appears to be so very wrong. There were many comments about the good quantity and quality of stones expected and now it appears we have to rely on another producer shutting down to become profitable?

This is getting pretty darn serious. We can only hope that FDI can come up with something in the very near future. I am still shocked by what has happened to this company and its promise as are many others I guess!

I have submitted the following in relation to the planning request by UKOG, suggest it's important that they receive as many supporting statements as possible

The further development of the vast Weald oil deposit is of national importance and should be expedited in the national interest.
Having the benefit of domestic on-shore oil provides a buffer against the unreliability of imported fuel and reduces considerably the carbon footprint of the transportation costs.
UKOG have, at all times, proceeded responsibly in the development of Horse Hill and this application is for the natural progression of the oil extraction.
Objections have been generated by a small, extremely vocal group of protesters whose activities and illegal obstruction of the project are well documented. Their views fade into insignificance in comparison to the vast benefit of producing domestic fuel supplies
I have seen videos of the tanker movements to and from the site and they fit seamlessly into the traffic flow with virtually no impact whatsoever. The extraction site is well screened and this application will have no further impact on the visual amenities. I request that this application be approved.

Always after good or reasonable news, this share price goes down even further, how can any investor deal with a problem like this. And don't say top-up!!!

I have held these shares for some now and starting to become very disheartened with, up to now, a 55% fall in the price. It all seemed so promising, exciting and reasonable to start with but for a considerable period now the daily falls are depressing. We get a reasonable RNS and the price seems to go down each time. We get other RNS where SS is handing out shares like confetti to enable finance for his territorial ambitions with an even greater dilution of the vast number of shares in circulation and a further consequent drop in the share price. It is all so slow that I wonder if the dream of us all of a highly profitable oil producer either elevated to the higher market or bought out for a good price relating to the potential by a major oil company. The process is so incredibly slow and delayed permissions with difficult and misguided opposition not helping matters. Are we ever going to realize our hopes or is it going to drag on year after year?

I think so. All the indicators appear to show a fairly strong improvement this year.

Shares in Petra Diamonds (LON:PDL) jumped more than 8% on Friday after the miner announced it had dug up a 425.1 carat, D-colour, Type II gem quality diamond at its iconic Cullinan mine in South Africa.

The discovery comes less than a month after Petra found a 100.83 carat gem-quality white diamond at the same mine, source of the world’s biggest-ever diamond, which was unearthed in 1905.
