Jtan, sorry if l was too hard on you last night, it was a bit late to talk about moving averages.. l won't answer you or anyone unless l think they are making a genuine comment, not point scoring... l do post my analysis and it for anyone to take what they want from it and if you post your analysis then l would be happy to study it to gain any insight...
you are absolutely right the daily bar is the one that matters, the story told within that bar has very little to do with the opening close high and low of that bar but there is still a story to be told and for me, the 2 hour bar will tell it...
..also from what l understood from one of your previous posts is that you don't have a position? l may be wrong, but unless you have skin in the game l feel very little need to respond to you... GL to you either way :)

... the next thing l like to look at, that gives me confidence in the SP, is breaking above the 2 hour 20 period MA..
today share price gapped up above this and tested it for support, this is a positive sign and a good operation for the price to perform... this usually takes quite a bit of work with added volatility but because the recent 10day/2week downtrend has been particularly persistent l think it has exhausted itself to some extent, making the operation look quite easy..

the charts can tell you a lot like key support was hit Friday support 155.61 (support 155.21), price breaking out of initial 10day/2week downtrend.. positive price with an undecided daily bar...

The only key thing to think about is Revenue Starts, it is the Key to business and pretty much everything is secondary, even without the US, Revenue has started..

are you implying the SP is going to fall lower than it did today..?

following the timeline:

...the high of 221.95, Tuesday 16th March, we were in Lockdown :
the stay at home’ rule ended on 29 March

..the high of 219p, Thursday 8th April high, the market began to sell off gradually and slowly.
Non-essential retail was only allowed 12th April..

...17th May Britain reopens to international travel
..the high 209.75 could still be managed on Thursday 3rd June with limited international travel,
which was the beginning of a 19day sell-off to 167.50p Wednesday 30th June..

200p is easily achievable in the near future..
day to day fundamentals cannot explain the share price journey and therefore cannot tell you where it is going...
maps modelling future scenarios, then yes maybe, and the probability of positive scenarios vs negative will determine your outcome...

...personally l would imagine a whole lot more positive scenarios than negative..

15th to 19th Feb the SP Broke out it range, at the price point we are today, with news of international travel returning 17 May.. the difference between now and then is that IAG have an income... today's the bottom, l worked this out on the back of a fag packet, it wasn't hard...!!

157 is breakout of the 2 week downtrend on the 2 hour chart if you discount the failed breakout.. this could be seen as a retest of that trend.. US air carrier stocks have been falling as reported by bloomberg tv for 8days in a row, this could see a rally in the US and drive the sector..
looking for a doji on the daily or to beat 160 In the coming days

a close above 157 could see this as the reversal imo...
