The purchase of 242,568 at 17.63 costing £42,988 inclusive of the Stamp duty was me so it will probably go down now it wasn't an institutional investor unfortunately !!
With the relegation out of the FTSE 250 imminent it maybe tracker funds !
Pedro I’m in MCG like you great recovery play but I think you’re wrong on this stock. Follow the money I’m not invested in here yet but I will be going balls deep at some point in the near future. I’m not a massive fan of the Kamanis but one thing them and Mike Ashley know about is retail. They don’t throw money away it’s not in their nature this will see a THG re-rate at some point it might not be today tomorrow or next week but it will happen. It’s a bagger this is from someone who dislikes the model and the people behind the business.
It wouldn’t surprise me if the new CEO brings in the previous CFO from Charter Court I think his name was Maloney. As I mentioned previously I think they will move towards second charge lending and BTL. Charter Court owned Precise mortgages and they merged with OSB I think the appointment is a shrewd move for the direction they are looking to take the company. I will be adding on any weakness
Quickdip what are you talking about Mars has 1 billion debt on less than 1 billion revenue and enlighten us how much dividend does it pay ? Otb are you having a laugh please tell us the profits it’s made in the last 3 years and it’s revenue for the last financial year. This board has attracted some serious clowns of late the best one yet was earlier comparing it to cineworld ?? Seriously I’m a massive advocate for free speech but this rubbish is comical !!
The one thing that confuses me is why pay an interim dividend if a capital raise was on its way ?. The company had 0.8 billion available to them 6 weeks ago. A bond of £400 million is due end of year maybe they’re struggling to refinance that however they seemed very positive it would be refinanced in q3 .
There must be P/E seriously looking at this market cap is less than 2 months revenue !!
With the company switching to near prime it should really target the areas the Challenger banks (Aldermore, Shawbrook etc) and companies like Together personal finance concentrate on. Looking at 2nd charges, Near Prime BTL, Commercial mortgages, and even look at Development finance, Refurb finance, Auction finance all secured and at relatively low loan to values. The loan book would really grow with high returns I think moving forward with the new CEO this is the direction they will target.
Seems strange to have dropped from 12% up this morning on a great update !
Karl Taylor do you just go from board to board saying takeover coming. It’s tedious I’m in this share in a heavy way so what evidence do you have there is a takeover incoming ?
I could be wrong but they had £500 million liquidity at the end of February so why do you think there will be a placing ?
This is a sitting duck for a takeover if Im correct CVC was looking to purchase this at £3billion 2 years ago !! I’m surprised the Malaysian shareholders haven’t looked to take this private it’s unbelievably cheap on almost every metric !
If you look at Frasers last 12 months results they had revenue just over 4 billion debt of 1 billion but made a profit in excess of 250 million. This is with physical stores a much larger debt than asos but the most important element for shareholders the market cap is over 3 billion and have introduced share buybacks. The above shows the enormous potential ASOS has these prices are literally dirt cheap !!
This is now priced to go bust it has property, plant, machinery etc worth in excess of £700 million. This is excluding the brands, the reach, customer base.
All very strange !!
That’s my opinion he’s recently bought a large stake in BWNG to stop a low MBO in my opinion. Povlsen is due a significant windfall from a sale to Deutsch Bank imminently and could have been looking to take this out on the cheap alongside others and he’s protecting his investment MA has been buying since last October.
Kuvari pretty much closed their short and we’re at 3.56 something doesn’t add up !
Absent I’ve been telling you since it was .8 where this was heading my posting history is there to see. At the same time you have been telling people Syme was buying a bank 😂. It would never drop below the offer price either would it Peak ???
I’ve just watched the utter shambles of a presentation and this has a market cap of £60 million pounds. There are people on here expecting 1p giving it a £600 million market cap absolute dreamers. I see it still has to operate a death spiral to keep the lights on and let’s guess it spikes now and then for Venus etc to sell in to. Has anyone actually worked out who owns Venus yet. There’s a few people getting rich on this a few lucky traders and the people behind the company. I see the same cheerleaders are still around who pretend they’re busy when it goes down but never off here when there’s a rise !!
There’s clearly a seller in the background offloading , shorts will be aware of this and it trickles down it’s like death by a thousand cuts at the moment but this will change. A market cap of less than 700 million is laughable the fundamentals are strong re read the results they had over 800 million available to them year end and it’s free cash flow is unbelievable. It will turn well I hope it does :)
Ronnie why do the shorts have to cover ?
