This is a general observation.
As I have said in my numerous posts AIM is casino. When the company is liquid and does not need any support, Comms in general will be issued when the company absolutely has to. When the company wants to boost the share price comms will come out at every opportunity.
If you want good comms then a share in more regulated markets is better.

This is why I do not invest in AIM companies for the long term. The majority shareholders and the Board of directors only want what is best for them. Not the PI.

Analogy would be better if you were to say waiting for the finance for the renovations to be approved before commencing renovations on the house. In which case yes I would have lined them up ready to start, even with a small non-refundable deposit in the unlikely case my finance wasn't approved

You don't need me to tell you that there are far less risky investments where one could make that in the space of a couple of months. I don't want to brag but in the space of 2-3 months SQZ (oil & gas) has returned me so far a nice healthy 80% (that's realised not paper profit) with if I remember 6 trades so far. You have idle cash sitting waiting for more hopium from JM and at the mercy of instis their warrants, geopolitical risks and a company that I repeat has never built a mine before

Seems that from what you say there couldn't be a better team in place. Yet that fails to materialise on price for the PI.
I have said it countless times that the board does not really want to be involved in building a mine.
If they not already are they are certainly wishing for a takeover.
Why I think that? Has Horizonte built a mine ever? During JM's tenure or before?

My view and in the absence of any meaningful news (which will be hopium by the way since at best they will come out with some works schedule with high level milestones) is that HZM are destined back to 5p.

If there is a takeover maybe you could double your money, but as usual in AIM (leaky ships) someone would take advantage of this well before any PI gets wind and sells up

It takes a lot more than a project director to build a mine. This company has never built one. All it does is deals. Thats what they want to do. The rest is smoke and mirrors

This is too simplistic a view. Commodity prices being higher does not necessarily translate to high prices for miners.
What about the costs required to extract the commodity in the first place? Inflation? Oil price? Geopolitical risks? There are so many factors.

In this particular case there is not even a plan to delivery - some milestones something. Just cash in the bank. I still maintain that the board is $hitting in their pants as they have never done this before and would prefer to have a cushy job "preparing a deal" rather than actually being responsible for production.
Take over is the only thing that can save everyone here.
