Jed it should have happened. As things stand ITV is below the VWAP running from when the buybacks started. Never mind being 8% up. Pogo is deluded.

Dont get me wrong it is not just ITV's fault it is the general UK market. Money is outflowing from UK to proper markets i.e. the US and dare I say smart money is going to Brazil (but I won't get into that as it is for sophisticated investors).

The point is business confidence is down most businesses are reviewing their expenses in light of Labour's tax raids, advertising is the first to suffer, yet Pogo thinks there is an 8% upside with a buyback that has failed to do so in a reliable manner and is nearly complete. Delusion of a grand scale.

Only a bid or McCall off will achieve that.

As it happens I am in a trade from 63p which is insurance hedged with shorts and I know when I will release the shorts (at the moment they are green and will be kept to break even). So far based on the shares purchased and volume weighted price paid ITV have spent 186.3M out of the allocated 235M. They have 48M left.....Buybacks are not working. I have been running a volume weighted average price since buybacks started on 7th march @ price of 68.4p. This VWAP is @75.1 and today's closing price @71.5p.

Another failure by McCall yet the naive here still support McCall
