ITV true to form has run out of steam in this latest round of bid speculation. My insurance hedges shorting ITV are well in profit now since last Friday. They are now set at break even and provide a cushion against my 63p ITV purchase. Funnily enough there needs to be a base around 80p for the price to command a 40% premium where the institutions will start thinking about it around 112-120p initial bid. The price being down here makes it harder for them to justify a % premium.

I am fed up frankly of the same old characters here - posting every minor deal that the desperate management of this co come up with, failing to see that they are supporting and investing in a co that is subpar.

There is only one way to trade underperforming businesses like that and they fail to act in a clever manner. Thus they become the exit liquidity of someone else. Buy at absolute rock bottoms and sell including short selling this dog and intermediate and ideally at highs. They are simply browse through the news every day hoping to spot something that will give them an edge. Guess what news will not give you an edge because someone already knows before you do and the action has happened. This is the kind of naivety I am trying to combat which makes me angry when I see it from the likes of W4nkstanley and others posting repeatedly nonsense links about a story that the investors that matter knew anyway. I presume he is still dazzled like a rabbit in the headlights as to why the news didn't uplift the price by 5% :). Makes me wonder whether these people should be investing but I guess there is a need to have them in order to take their cash away.

Janus because it makes my blood boil seeing naive investors discussing on these useless boards thinking they found a bargain and waiting in perpetuity for a miracle bid to get them to exit their dismal positioning which they held on for years while choosing to bury their heads in the sand. That is why. Trade yourselves out of it and choose markets with volatility like the US. ITV is a waste of money for the absolute naive. Only at rock bottom prices should you be buying.
