warned advertising revenue would be 9% lower in the last quarter of 2025, reflecting pullback by advertisers after the government put Britain on notice of tax rises in the budget later this month.

ITV, Britain's biggest free-to-air commercial broadcaster, said it was seeing "widespread caution" across sectors as brands braced for the impact from expected tax rises from finance minister Rachel Reeves on November 26.

The company said on Thursday it would make 35 million pounds ($47 million) of temporary savings to offset the lower ad spend, keeping it on track to meet full-year guidance.

The forecast 9% drop in total advertising revenue (TAR) for the October-December period was well below the flat estimate from analysts, and came after TAR for the previous three months was flat.

"We are adjusting our costs to match this current reduction in demand," Chief Executive Carolyn McCall said, citing "increased uncertainty" in the run up to the budget.

ITV said that for the first nine months of the year, total group revenue was up 2% to 2.795 billion pounds.

They are reporting revenue lol 2% is nothing and more than likely eaten up by inflationary costs. And of course blaming it on budget and anything other than McCall's abysmal performance

My man the imbeciles posting hopium are all past shareholders from 1.6 if not more and are desperate for an out. They are trying to keep up appearances. They are depressed and have egg on their faces and are desperately trying to salvage something out of this. Even if the price rises to 100p they will not sell. There is consolidation in the sector but not with ITV. And it is all down to McCall. Judging from the numpties here that have more or less stopped defending her I think they silently agree. I am an early riser - I scan the overnight news identify opportunities to trade, check the state of the markets during the Asian session and then I decide on my trades - unlike the geriatrics of this forum scanning Wall Street bets for the latest hopium fair valuation of ITV lol.

So the news today is that NETFLIX is considering a bid for WBD Warner Bros Discovery. Unlucky ITV shareholders, I hear from a tea lady in the Netflix boardroom that it was a very close call between WBD and ITV but Netflix decided to buy WBD because of MAGA movement :) - Then again the tea lady has a hobby for reading tea leaves and sees the future she says.
