So gone from MM is shorting his own share, ignoring that he bought at 35p, so shorting after he bought, now he's deliberately going to tank the share so he can buy it cheap.

I don't understand why any one would stay "invested" in a share that they think that is happening.

It would be a very nice bonus. It just may not happen though , hence why THG has done the sensible thing of still paying vat. The other issue, not that I know about tribunals is that the appeal may be accepted. If it is then another hearing and even more waiting , after that they may be able to appeal again, so that is a risk of time. All accounts it is very odd that it has been over a year 3 months and nothing has been updated about permission to appeal.

Quick question. Where's the 7 year thing come from? I'm assuming there would have been a stay so no refund could have occured and the order was only issued last year. So they prob skipped out on 1 1/2 years of vat? If it doesn't hold?

People wouldn't like to see increases in prices due to vat having tonow be paid, you would have to pay interest on that sum as well.

They are doing the right thing, it's not guaranteed. Anything else would be stupid
