JS, thanks for your interesting contributions as ever.. Absolutely hoping that you won't be off, but when I asked GH at the 2017 AGM what the long term plan was for GGP and could they become a Mining Co, GH stated categorically that anything was a possibility, and the sole objective was to maximise value for the share holders. He continued by saying, if GGP became a Mining Co, the board would have to change suitably, and the likely hood was, that he wouldn't be CEO at that point.

I think it is highly unlikely, and would be several years downstream from where we are today, but if GH/CB and the rest of the BOD continue making excellent decisions like they have done so far, who knows, it might be the path to follow.

I really appreciate all the excellent and knowledgeable posters on the BB, and its great to read different people's strategies and objectives for their shares. I have my own position, and am old enough and probably stupid enough to stick with it..

What I really don't appreciate, is an uneven playing field... when someone purports to being probably the largest private shareholder in a company, and gives strong advice in one direction, whilst possibly doing the absolute opposite... It has zero effect on me, but is that true of less experienced, or financially challenged PI's who may well be experiencing unforeseen difficulties in these unprecedented times...

Thanks Sanboy, I can't agree more, from what felt like the depths of the Ocean when Newmont walked, to where we are Today, GH has been a calm and honest leader, along with CB, and that is a rare quality in any company, especially on AIM.
Whatever the rest of the journey looks like, and whatever your genuine strategy might be, GLA.
Personally my preference is that I hope GGP retain their final 25% and we are reaping the benefits of Hav for the next 20 years..

Could this news actually mean that the cost of drilling comes down, as when we manage to resume the program at Scallywag..

There could be a lot of Rigs, and crews looking for jobs?

I am with you Paddy, I don't for one second think GH or the BOD will be tempted by a quick cash offer now, when within 2 years, Hav could be generating a huge cash flow into GGP..

Imagine GGP having the resources at it's disposal to really concentrate on exploration, without any dilution etc..

I have never been a trader, and maybe look at GGP, as a longterm potential Star, rather than just a one trick Shooting Star.

Have been in Block for exactly a year now, I know I am just a newbie etc..

Just wanted to say thanks to the sensible intelligent crew and their well researched and knowledgeable posts, and am happy with the way the BOD and PH are now transitioning Block into what looks like a sound and soon to be very profitable company.

I am currently circa £50k down on my holding here, and my only thoughts are I wish I had a ton of cash to invest buying at sub 3p.

I know where my ISA money is going

I am pretty sure GH said there were approx 90 on site a couple of Months ago, when discussing the advantages of all the facilities that would be available to the GGP crews in the Field at Scally etc
