P119, chrome - I think you are kind of missing the point. Trolls excluded, the people picking over the bones of the first shipment are trying to understand the calculations so that they can make a good estimate of the revenue/profit we can expect from future shipments. A perfectly reasonable endeavour. And if anyone thinks they've nailed it... Please share! 😉

It seems we have some people here who know a bit about trading stocks but little about running a company. The board runs the company on behalf of its shareholders and ONE of their responsibilities is to keep them informed. But serious investors don't want a running commentary, they want to be confident that the company is being run competently with their best interests in mind. A big part of that, especially in a region like West Africa is maintaining good community relations. People on here who mock those efforts betray their own naiveté rather than any failure of management.

Oh dear! Member since 17 December 2025 (3 weeks) number of posts 12, all on KOD and all negative, accusing the board of various levels of malfeasance.

So we are supposed to believe that this is an expert with with deep knowledge of the lithium mining sector who only got around to setting up an LSE account 3 weeks ago and is only interested in one company but thinks that company is being mismanaged.

LSE (LON:KOD): London South East and ShortData.co.uk indicate no significant or open short positions for Kodal Minerals.

OTC (OTCMKTS:KDLMF): Benzinga shows some short interest (around 50.19K shares) for the US OTC listing, but this is relatively small compared to typical volumes and suggests it would take only a day to cover.

Other miners will bring forward plans to bring mothballed sites back into production. New projects will be accelerated. Of course this is more competition in the long term. But in the short term it will help to attract the attention of investors away from the sexy topics of today and towards Lithium plays.

The problem is that if you keep pumping out "news" when all you have to show is normal operations (even if reaching that point was challenging and a huge win) you risk losing impact when you have something you really want the market to take notice of. You and I can't possibly know what is the current strategy and why. If, for example, I was finalising a better-than-expected resource upgrade, I would want radio silence for a few weeks to reach an audience eager for news, not weary of it. PR/external comms is a business specialty just like engineering or finance

So, Rob7890, you are obviously an expert so give us a quick précis of the PR campaign you would be running right now if you were in charge

If Bernard runs the company well and $spod keeps rising, the SP will look after itself. PR can wait until he has something to sell to the market. Forward movement on the gold prospects or, more likely, on stage 2 lithium. Maybe even something completely new. Until then it is regional risk that is holding us back, not any kind of management failure.

Potatohead - you seem to have gone down a bit of a rabbit hole on this. There is zero evidence that Hainan received a discount. The apparent disparity between the price received and the spot price at the time of loading is far more likely to be due to price smoothing. If it is backwards looking, we lose when the price is rising and win when it is falling. Both parties benefit from smoother, more predictable cash flow. We won't know the exact settlement until the shipment is offloaded and assessed.

You list things that "we need to know" but offtake agreements are both complicated and commercially sensitive. Some of the details you looking for may not be shared publicly. I assume you are a shareholder and as such you can always contact the company directly with your questions.

Potatohead - there is a difference between "depends upon" and "reflects exactly". Typically, arrangements seek to avoid the consequences of volatile pricing and apply some sort of smoothing to reduce the impact of peaks and troughs. We won't know for sure until the details are published

OK - I'm glad I unfiltered our troll(s) to see what they wanted to be floating around for the weekend unchallenged. Let's set a few things straight...

1. Chef thanking Bloggs is about as convincing as a ventriloquist talking to the "experienced investor" on their lap

2. $15m is the amount in question. Hainan believes that Kodal bears the liability. It has been paid by KMUK.

3. Hainan has "reserved the right" to reclaim their share, Hainan being 51% owners of KMUK

4. The maximum claim would therefore be in the region of $7.5m

5. Hainan may chose not to exercise their "reserved right" or may claim a smaller sum

6. Kodal's lawyers may be correct in their assessment that any potential claim is unlikely to be successful

7. Anyone who thinks this had any impact on today's insignificant SP movements on minuscule volumes needs to give their head a wobble
