I doubt if many are worried about the $7.5m payment. Especially as it likely opens the door for the licence transfer. At risk of restating the obvious, it is the asymmetric pressure on the SP that is suppressing the price. I find it interesting that Bernard has talked freely of a rerate on reaching production. Given his seemingly conservative nature, do you think this is based on pure speculation, or perhaps on knowing of IIs, commodity trackers, etc. that are ready to buy in when certain milestones are reached?

Please also remember that the payment would be a debit of $7.5m to Kodal and a credit of $7.5m to KMUK, of which Kodal is a major shareholder

Well said pigman. People whining about SC selling should consider the alternatives. If they had never signed up in the first place we would have not made it this far or would have agreed an offtake with someone else who would be doing the same thing now. We can't know exactly what agreement they made but their exit seems orderly enough to me. The situation is as it is. Wishing for it to be different is just plain naïve.

I think you are looking at the fees paid by the trust to the investment manager. Google "investment trust management fees"

It's no fiduciary duty to me. I expect the CEO to maximise shareholder value by maximising the value of the company, not nudging around the SP for the benefit of pocket money traders.

If you expect the CEO to be micromanaging the SP at any stage, let alone when there is a plant to get into production, gold prospects to develop and critical stakeholder relationships to manage, I think you are going to be disappointed.

The price is now lower than when SC brought in, causing a massive spike in the SP from which it immediately plummeted. It is also 10x the price it was 5 years ago. Ivenoidea, you chose your moniker well.

Life is usually simpler than that. I think it more likely that they have a target... minimum sell price and an objective to sell an amount by a date. But just another opinion. Could be all, most or some of their holding. All anyone can do at this stage is guess.

Who knows?! But you could certainly speculate about terms that might have been agreed with Hainan regarding an exit strategy and SC internal governance limiting market speculation in stocks in which they have no material interest. Chinese miners are not in the business of gambling in AIM stocks

I share your optimism, Manhole, but I would say this... I don't imagine that there are many people who invest, and particularly in the AIM market, based only on what the company is doing right now. Speculation and projection are usually priced in as well. This is what I think is being offset (effectively, suppressed) by the asymmetric selling from SC. It is clearly a bad thing for traders and short term investors, but in the medium to long term may actually help to smooth the curve and make the next few months somewhat less of a roller coaster ride for lth. The value will out in the end.

If Kodal has "spare" cash, I expect Bernard to put it to much better use than a share buyback
