I swear I am not a clairvoyant but looks like Moderna may have something still some way to go but sounds promising..

One thing that will catch people on the hop is a vaccine.....we aint got one yet but we will and when it happens you watch IAG almost double ....it will catch a lot of people out.....and it will come out of nowhere.....

I think the raising was done at the right time but you have to ask yourself if BOO are doing that well and they had plenty of cash in the bank why did they need to raise 200M was it greed or is Covid having a material impact?

Its called a Vaccine dont bet against it........

IAG now has a M/C 3.2B......With nearly 7B in cash...

It aint gunna cost 6 Billion I know that and IAG can get plenty of finance should they need it...

Just listened to a debate on CNBC where they were saying if your betting against airlines your betting that the world will not come up with a vaccine.....personally thats not a bet that I would wager.....

Have you not seen the tubes/trains and buses (rammed) and thats people just going to work....I am sure those same people will get on a plane to take a holiday....

Just to add nobody can predict the SP at the moment Airline stocks are one of the most volatile ....

I think we take another drubbing today looking at the US airline stocks.....however IAG has a very strong balance sheet and will weather the storm and survive I expect IAG come out the other end a different company but as I am pretty sure we will lose a few weaker airlines this will make IAG stronger so I feel the positioning has to be done now,,,,

I thought the day was going to start good... woke up... sun is rising ....BMN SP is rising... then I see the Pdub news, very sad and disappointing....it really does kick things into perspective.

Those results were surprisingly ok my problem is the debt.....its way too high whatever metric you use....

I think we all know this will take time to recover and like I said it could go lower but anybody getting in around these prices will do fine medium to long term.....IAG have billions in cash and one of the strongest balance sheets in the sector...a few airlines will without doubt fall by the wayside and only the strongest will survive IAG are one of the strongest.....they have circa 7B in cash thats not even the M/C now the cash burn will go down and they will soon be flying again granted no where near pre crisis capacity but that alone will reduce/stop the cash burn....

To add to my comments earlier regarding some one mentioning people will be very scared of flying again......take a look at the tubes/trains and buses???? and you think people still will not get on a plane to go on holiday? if they can take public transport just to get to work I guarantee they are going to get on a plane to take there two week holiday once a year....

I dont disagree with the above.... however markets are way forward looking than that and although I dont believe anyone can call the bottom on IAG I feel we are close....

Even though I said I thought this could go lower....people are not just going to stop flying? as soon as the bans are lifted I can see people heading for holidays almost immediately ...may be not the older generation but the younger ones will be off...you only have to look at the parks, beaches and recreation grounds to see the younger generation are not scared of cover 19

IAG have a great balance sheet however I do feel this could go lower don't ever think a share that's been battered can not go lower IT CAN....AND PROBABLY WILL....
