KenRich is excellent informative post, as usual. good you bringing up this point saying “I am not sure of this, but I have been thinking and I wonder if Avacta will hold back on additional partnerships with POC tests using LFD until Cytiva have theirs approved.” Whist this makes sense, but how would that square with Mr Smith repeatedly stating “avacta retains commercial rights” ......”we are talking to other partners....for bigger capacity to meet global demand” .... and “substantial news in the near future” ??? Well it could well be that Cytiva would have been given exclusivity in North America and possibly some other countries (since they operate in 40) for the reasons you outline. And as Mr Smith claimed other test manufacturers, very likely in Europe but also Asia, will be involved relatively at the same time which will not necessarily impact on Cytiva’s deal. I think this is a more likely scenario, based on Mr Smiths repeated statements referred to above. This leads me to expect an rns announcement about others test manufacturers well before Cytiva’s test results, possibly by this Friday, or by next week at the latest, I believe. I suspect these “other partners” may have already been sent the test for trial and feedback (as must have been the cases with Cytiva and Adeptrix prior to their respective announcements), hence Mr Smith “substantial news in the near future”. In any case, plenty of news in the pipeline as per Mr Smith, in the next few weeks.
I, like most here, appreciate your excellent posts, btw.
