So the markets are currently valuing rbs sp at 18p after coming back to profit surely that is a false valuation,
This drop in sp was not supposed to happen till tomorrow,
If there is a reasonable deal struck and I think there may well be at the last hurdle as BJ is trying to push eu in to a corner then there will be big gains all round, could well be worth holding,
Thank you for the reply, seems pretty good although they are specials but shows rbs to be in decent health
How many special divis has there been recently anybody please and what value were they,
So you bought at £2.00 urgh not nice, It would be very nice if the sp returned to that price and hope it does but it's a long shot at this time but never say never,
If you look through the history of virtually all share prices the sp goes through different cycles and the cycle does a full turn but you need to be able to hold on and hope for the best,
Don't think we are in the wrong share as rbs are still on the mend and will change with the times,
when Lloyds were on the mend they spent some time with the sp in the 20's and moved all the way up to 89p until these uncertain times and I've thought for some time that rbs would do the same,
Totally agree with you, these things have to get sorted sometime
sp down 13% in last 2 weeks, that is a lot
All due to outside pressure, talk of currency wars, trade wars, Brexit you name it but if and when the pressures fade as surely they can not last forever bank shares will fly upwards so now is the time to buy for the future,
Yes maybe but can't see any significant uplift in banks sp for a sometime yet, yes Lloyds are extremely cheap but 6% divi cushions losses made here and with the Lloyds divi makes up a nice sum of about 4 grand, trying to make the best of a bad job at the moment but will return to Lloyds due to the strength of the bank,
Sold my Lloyds shares temporarily to buy 20,000 rbs as with the x divi next week it pays 6% so no brainer, also I think it is a good possibility that rbs could be a repeat of Lloyds when they were on the mend and the sp was in the 20's and made good progress all the way to the 80's
what value will 20,000 shares be worth in next weeks x divi anyone please
Yes it happens all the time,
Thank you for reply, Lloyds x divi tomorrow so they will go down but if they come back before 15th it would be worth selling Lloyds and buying rbs, I know they will also go go down on the day but will come back,
If I buy rbs between now and August 15th will I qualify for special divi anybody please
