I won't hang around tonyj, I have seen all I need. I will say, that 'village' (population over 30,000, you have it wrong yet again) was a first hand report I received that was errr, correct. It was also information that confirmed the first 3 real commercial contracts, covering 15 million meters, didn't come CC's way. Accurate facts never have been your thing. Now, can you remind us all how CC will feature in whole UK rollout AGAIN, it's a great story.

I said I wouldn't, but this has to be the most pathetic stage in the companies history. The current BoD are supposed seasoned mavericks in the field, and now JC looks forward to working with a well heeled investor who has no CC sector experience whatsoever. If he makes a difference, on no salary, the resignation of over paid directors must follow very soon. Absolute joke of a Board.

Many of you will be delighted to know I am leaving these boards for good. This is India tonyj, no matter how much we want it, they won't be changing from one extreme to the other overnight.

In which case, India is not our market. CC need to close some volume orders very soon to disprove this.

Not sure what the % of users were pre paid before this rollout started. It could be that whole areas have been identified as historical theft regions and are now being forced down the pre paid route. Smart and cheap.

I am fairly sure 85% of the 15 million so far are pre paid users.

Call it what you want, it is 15 million meters, the first real commercial contracts in India, and they have gone for the most basic of basics option. No questions are being asked, they will save the massive theft numbers, for an almost free solution.

EESL have adopted GPRS as the chosen comms on the first 3 tenders of 5 million units each. They are smart meters as they clearly do not need human interaction in reading. We can assume they are not interested in all the bells and whistles of auto shut if tampered with, or sending data every 15 minutes. Smoothing energy flow also appears to be less of an issue in needing hardware, it's more education that is needed.

Strangely woolie, I think SS is closer here now than ever before.

There is also a small social media site called Facebook. You can actually talk to some of them on there. They are installing meters, unless it's all (another) front.

I can say that all testing was done to the industry standard that was specified. I don't believe the suppliers were accredited at that time, but it was assumed as the meters performed well within the required guides, they would gain the trade standard in due course. Two things stood out. They were very relaxed, I am not convinced it is nothing more than a guideline, which JC commented on but from the other end of the scale. The other is, they are only measuring meters, it's all they do.

EESL rollout is progressing, about as fast as UK to be fair. I haven't seen any concrete evidence of anything to suggest otherwise, which is why there is no case to answer, unless you can provide some? Mysore, on the other hand is crystal clear, it has been stopped in its tracks for reasons not fully disclosed. It might be covered in the update, if and when we get one.

It was noted last month tonyj. Most on here dig very deep looking for issues with other installs, that CC didn't win. One they did win is put on indeffinate hold, and they don't blink - strange wouldn't you say?

We should see a Trading Update within the next week or so. Given absolute lack of new sales the income from existing needs to be strong. They could of course dispense with the Trading Update, that would be more in line with current thinking.

Third tender, the first two are awarded and being implemented at speed.

This is probably the 3rd tender, not order awarded.
