At a January 2017 steering committee meeting hosted by the Ministry of Power ("MoP"), and attended by representatives from the State utilities, CyanConnode and Enzen were congratulated for their successful delivery of the CESC project to date, viewed as a significant success within the MoP funded pilot projects. The Group understands that the MoP remains committed to installing a majority of the planned 35 million smart meters by 2019 and are pushing the local smart metering suppliers to accelerate their readiness for volume deployments.

Outlook..
Following the re-election of Narendra Modi as Indian Prime Minister, CyanConnode expects to see a material acceleration of the Indian Smart Meters National Programme. It is currently working on a large number of tenders for the Indian market, that the Company believe will result in significant new orders for the Company. The Company's expectation and budget anticipated this increase in orders, revenues and therefore cash receipts in H2 2019. Trading is therefore in line with market expectation.

tonyj has been wrong for years and years.... DYOR, India is not a standard market. tonyj ramp away LOL.

In September 2019 CyanConnode announced that the Company had expected to secure substantial Indian contracts by the end of October following delays in new tenders being awarded caused by the Indian General Election. The award of these contracts continues to take longer than anticipated, and while they are still expected to be secured in the coming weeks, the Company is now unlikely to meet market expectations for 2019.

It's not just a case of DYOR on the company or product. It is a case of DYOR on India, they have a track record 2nd to none. Been supposedly losing $32 Billion pa for at least 10 years, probably far longer, and still they cannot commit. Next election 2024, plenty of can kicking to be done.

You are delighted to learn the rollout stopped as CC were not involved, this I can only assume is because you feel CC will be central to the volume rollout. The volume needs to start, not in 9 months, but right now. CC may be part players in the speciality areas, but they won't be anything anywhere unless India move. If / when it starts, you should try to embrace it whoever is involved. Don't get bogged down with the tonyj 'canopy across the globe' drivel, it isn't going to happen.

When you have the strongest 'supporter' of everything CC on here rejoicing the fact the Indian rollout stalled so quickly, you have to wonder who is holding here at all? This is India, IF Cyanconnode ever get involved, the cancelling of contracts could start all over very quickly again. Be careful what you wish for, they look to stop spending at the slightest hiccup, and there will be many of those.

LTI, you have stated me being a firm supporter of the volume rollout that EESL started. You are absolutely correct, it was the first time this joke target market had moved in ernest. Typically, it appears to have stopped before it started, that seems to delight you for some reason. Maybe you should support the Indian team a little more, once the rollout starts again CC will have a chance to take their very small share hopefully. If delays you enjoy continue, I fear the worst.
