Article in today's Daily Telegraph is headed, "EU approves state aid for electric car battery plant".

A Swedish electric vehicle battery company is to receive Eur 900m of state subsidies to build a plant in Germany.

I wondered where the will source the required lithium?

Surely the value in the Company is the huge lithium resource (largest in Europe) and that it is 51% owned by CEZ, who have vast resources and a strong desire to supply lithium to both the Czech and European motor manufacturers.

I am sure this share will come good though possibly under new management as the constant delay in producing the DFS is dreadful.

It has to be remembered that the Czech State ultimately controls this share and they need the lithium to supply the European motor industry.

They may wish to jettison EMH but it is still an immensely valuable strategic lithium resource which will be mined.

I can't think that a resource so important to Europe will be sold by CEZ at a knock down price. Why would they do that?

China doesn't have dynamism it's a totalitarian state. Europe badly needs its own lithium resource.

I think you are forgetting that EMH is virtually State controlled and located smack in the middle of Europe.

Patience is needed not constant condemnation of a fellow human being.
