The question certainly brought about some interesting answers. Maybe I'm wrong but I would guess that most people would be flexible depending on the situation, If one man considered himself to be an investor surely he would be foolish not jump into something just because he didn't think it had legs if a quick trade would turn a profit.

LTHs of GGP are all married, they have meetings all over the country to discuss it's success / progress, good job we don't do that, it would be a room full of silence. Keep smiling.

Someone did say the other week, might have been msuk, 'never fall in love with a share.' I suppose the end result being a profit is the most important bit because I am guessing that is how most would judge their skill level, and nobody wants to be sh*te especially where money is at stake.

Speaking of how you manage losses, I wonder if you gave a large number of people, (many who may consider themselves good investors) a large set amount of money for a set period of time, if you would find two who employed the same thinking. I would imagine that some would occasionally break their own rules and go with a gut instinct.

And there you have one of my favourite errors, staying too long, but as I have said many times, I don't consider myself a serious investor, it's just for fun.

Everyone could put a different slant on their answer to that , depends on your point of view, but I wouldn't personally but at 10am then sell at 10:15 and call it investing.
