RE: Seems like a good time to be grabbing Lithium resources....13 May 2026 10:15
RamonM. Take this with a pinch of salt, i am not the most knowledgeable investor and work off of gut feeling/macro outlook, and as much company fundamentals as i can decipher.
I have said previously i understand the gold and silver market more than i understand the lithium market. I sold my position on monday first thing and i have made back 9% (so far) of what i have lost here. By year end im very confident i will gain back what i have lost, my average here was just short of 22p.
According to what we know, both Elevra and Assore are out, it was Elevra being out that made my decision a certainty.
My position therefore was this, Europe is now a useless entity, so i rule out a European buyer. If any North American buyer was to bid, surely that was Elevra? So i now rule out North America. (Broad sweeps i know)
China has its foot in the door in Africa and clearly here. This brings me to this which i have heard a few times but i have no first hand knowledge of whether this is true or not, but it has always stuck in my head.
"The chinese are ruthless when it comes to business dealings, but are also incredibly helpfull, helping other companies out, sometimes even rival ones" is this true? I have no idea, but it has always stuck in my head.
If i take that comment as being true, why would another Chinese company outbid them, i all benifits the mother country in the end. I am of the assumption that a counter bid is very slim, but again, im guessing. I left this board but bobbed back in today for a nosey and saw your question. I've done now, it feels chuffing good to leave the bulls#!t behind.
All the best
