Entered GGP late 2015.
The risks were taken back then...pre Newmount and then that terrible period post Newmount.
Those were dark days. But something kept luring most of us LTH in. Kept us tied to what can only be described as... potential.
GH has to be given credit. He made that potential look achievable. Made it more tangible then it may have really been perceived by many. The several licences helped. EG struck out. Ok move onto the next. I was working on probability...and a prayer.
Somehow many of us found the faith not only to hold but to even add on the dips. And there were many in the ggp rollercoaster...esp between news.
Luck has to play a part. After all this is Aim. Where risk can be richly rewarded. I definitely count myself fortunate.
However the last year or so its totally a different story. Great move with the JV. That was the start of a more relaxed derisked anticipation for us all.
Now its just excitement and fun. Remembering to be grateful and acknowledging the blessing. So many horror stories one hears. Have to pinch myself whenever I see my total. Which for all intents and purposes is going to rise. Just keeps giving.
I'm staying on this most remarkable of journeys till the end. I realise that I am very very fortunate to have such a prime seat.
I wish all Greatlanders success.

Apologies. I didn't mean to congratulate just the LTHs. It read badly.
I'm pleased for all Greatlanders whether here 10 years or 10 hours.
Lets keep our faith and maintain momentum

Coach
PS Paddy have you cancelled the slice at 10p
Congratulations to all the LTHs
We finally got to double digits.
What a journey it has been. But not over . Far from it.
Keep the faith. Keep the focus. No need to slice either. This is just a pit stop. Flag is still a few laps away.

Its pretty simple. Nothing much in the fundamentals has changed. We are still waiting.
So its actually a good chance to top up. I'm trying to do this to lower my average.
Makes perfect sense.

Morning All
In my 5 years here many posters have come and gone.
I have always advocated free speech on here and others can avoid or filter. But I have stressed not to get personal with any individual/s. Just not worth it. We really don't dictate the sp from here. Esp on Aim where the unpredictability and MMs games make regular trading very difficult. So why get irate.
That is why the LTH have done much better with ggp. And will continue to do so. Just buy (on a dip when it comes..and invariably it does come..less often now) and just hold relax. Its so derisked now. No need to be on here analysing every post etc. You can afford to get on with your life. Ggp is only going one way. For Aim its almost unheard of. But that's the reality. Be thankful you are on board.
There is a lot you can read from a poster esp over time...not just the words but between the lines. All sorts of emotions....humour passion nerves anger positive negative etc etc. And with varying degree of personalisation. Surely we should all have the same agenda...to make money and therefore help in anyway to raise the sp obviously (excuse my naivety).
There cannot be many posters throughout Aim that have shown to be as selfless as Paddy. I haven't seen one on here in my 5 years. He is respectful to all. Lets the data speak. With manners and dignity...not getting involved in spats(today with sk handled well not really a spat). The only one time he lost his cool he immediately retracted that post. I believe respect is something you earn and he has certainly earned most of ours. Above all integrity. That's what makes so many people on here trust his judgement. Some almost blindly without any research of their own. And there is nobody better I would prefer going on twitter to the wider audience than Paddy.
When this is all over I will seek him out to shake his hand (if soc dist allows ) and buy him the best bottle of Irish whiskey.
Enjoy your weekend All. Have a break from the screen. I'll catch up Monday morning... early with Tig, Stuart and co.
Stay Safe..Still

Watching intermittently from the sidelines for last week or so...
Never has the word PATIENCE held as much weight as here and now.
The LTH are acutely aware and are used to numb hands. The modern day PIs seem to have busy fingers.
Its pretty simple here at ggp now...Patience will reap the bigger rewards....And with virtually no risk. Something that is unique on Aim. We should count ourselves fortunate.
Let it take its course. No need for ramp deramp trade or even slice(unless desperate need of funds). Just relax and watch. Easy no stress.

Paddy - Any offer will need to go pass GH and bod first. I'm pretty sure he would give the shareholders his view prior to us having our say.
And most of us here would trust GH and be directed by his opinion. After all he would have the greatest insight.
However I'm not clued up on T/Os...hostile or otherwise.

Evening All
Just checked in briefly.
Agreed Spy
That is my understanding of it. Unless 'officially valued' so drill results etc Scally will also be lumped together with the others on a minimal premium.
I think GH is aware of that. And will be trying to get some drill proof out before NC finish the MRE on Hav.
I believe the MRE is the green light for them to officially put an offer on the table. All IMHO.
If I'm in the dark...grateful to be enlightened.
Thanks

Afternoon All
Thanks Paddy as always
Max10 - Great post earlier. My thoughts exactly.
I believe Sandeep (who's got his own resp to his shareholders and is an astute executive) would be pitching for ggp as a whole. I don't believe it would be just for Hav... then Scally...then others. He is more likely to sweep all of ggp. Rushing through to the MRE after which an offer is more likely qualified. Newcrest would know of the potential of the other licences anyway esp scally. It would be prudent of them to get that offer sooner rather than later. Not least for Telfer sake aswell.
But we have GH he is no mug. I'm pretty sure he's recognised this and has plans in place. Not least to prove up Scally to an 'above average price'. Race seems to be on.
IMHO it will be a case of a Hav price plus Scally (if proven up with decent results) plus others.
The actual fig who knows. But GH will negotiate hard for us of that I'm sure.
I'm not clued up with technicalities of how the T/O will proceed and if both parties will need to accept.
I would be happy if I'm totally wrong and only Hav is sold. And our ggp journey continues.
In the meantime faith and patience.

Paddy/ Magic
I also emailed Magic initially.
Mainly about the 'post mineral dkye'.
Magic- When you get time please can you elaborate on the significance of this 'pmd' for Hav and then subsequently for us?
I'm intrigued just from your fascination of it. Must mean something fundamental?
Thanks in advance
Paddy- As a LTH I would be interested if there are other possible investments in that region that we can catch early as we did with ggp...Happy long term. If research identifies it.
Thanks in advance to you both.

Magic
That was really fascinating esp from a non geologist view
Thank you so much for all the hours of work.
I am now fascinated by this 'post mineral Dyke'. Just wondering when you get time if you could elaborate on the significance of that in relation to us. No rush. I know you have your PHD to get done.
Once again apprec the work entailed.

Great advice Tig
Even if you are not clued up about the technical side and don't quite understand it...its still worth a read.
At least then go with the basic fundamentals of the company. The main reasons why it has derisked.
And then have the belief to hold. Irrespective of the rollercoaster.

Don't stress.
This rollercoaster esp in transitional periods (between news) is symbolic of many Aim stocks ggp no exception.
Infact that has been historic here. When you have been here as long as some of us have ..it seems normal.
But there's no problem here. Quite the opposite. Its considerably derisked to the point of almost an inevitability now.
We had a lot more uncertainty few years back. Now there is no need to be nervous.
Believe in the fundamentals. There is enough data knowledge info on this BB.
As I have said many times MMs will still need to do their thing. Don't worry. Relax. Or even better top up if you can.
Off to enjoy the sun
I'll check back at close of play
Stay Safe
