The rollercoaster of Aim is prevalent throughout. You have to be able to stomach the dips to appreciate the highs.
Tell yourself why you invested.
Stay calm let the MM do their best.
I'm from GGP (5.5 years) seen it dozens of time there. Infact going through one now.
Val potential is huge. May even top up.
Good luck All

My thoughts exactly.
As a LTH I was never a prolific poster...I didn't possess the knowledge and didn't have the time for the intel. I was more of a peace keeper and reassurer.
It would be beneficial if the newbies read more listened more and post less.
A lot of the LTH don't bother as much now. Which is a shame because they have the greatest knowledge.
Ignorance is fine and one can be enlightened by others. The illusion of knowledge is dangerous to all.
Best to you All

As a very LTH I have seen this type of price drop many times. Granted its a pretty big one but nothing exceptional.
MM will need to do their thing. Let them.
Top up if you can afford. I have. Otherwise switch off the screen and come back tomorrow.
Already rising.
It seems we are still not totally free of the rollercoaster. But no worries it provides opportunity. I'm not brave enough to trade. So for me its simple...top up time.

We have been banging on about being patient for years now.
Pre and post newmount was apprehensive patience. Based on what we believed to be the potential of ggp from their fundamentals. Those were dark days and patience was severely tested.
Newcrest was the game changer...and credit has to be given to GH. That was the breakthrough move.
Since then ggp has been continuing to be derisked. I mentioned a while back about Risk Averse...That has been virtually taken out for us here. Even for the most averse.
Where in the world are you going to find a stock like this. How many posters have mentioned ggp as their saviour...And we are no where near the peak yet.
This is really once in a lifetime scenario. Those who can't see this...well what can one say.
I have been in here for over 5.5 years. Yes I could retire like so many LTH. But infact I'm still buying 23.95 was my last purchase. My first was ridiculous price.
I would like as many people to benefit from ggp as possible. We are so fortunate to be in the right place at the right time.
Comfortable patience now. Like Merc says just relax now hold (top up if you can) and enjoy the inevitable rise. Yes inevitable. Unheard of esp for an Aim share. But thats the reality. At least for the next 6-9 months.

These are the posts that make my heart warm.
I couldn't be happier for all of us that have benefitted.
I'm glad so many of us (and more to come) have the chance to better their lives and the lives of their loved ones.
Its so satisfying being able to help others. A lot of us are now fortunate enough to do so.
Good Luck All
Keep the faith. Still hold.

I don't post much anymore.
A lot of new decent posters.
Just wanted a shout out to all my LTH. It was a dream 5/6 years ago. Now....
A lesson in being patient and not despairing in the many lows.
Having faith in the fundamentals and in GH. That is what I have clung on to for nearly 6 years.
It has allowed me to take early retirement if I so wish. But not done yet.

Dodge I can understand your frustration and there is validity in your annoyance.
I remember when he first came onboard. A lot of credence was given to him because of the size of his buy.
However I did state few years ago let him do what he wants. His money up to him. Just ignore whatever he says. He really isn't that important to ggp. He will be the loser in the end. And I'm sure he knows this. So circumstances may have dictated this sell. I don't care.
The fundamentals of ggp haven't changed and thats all that matters to me. Infact they look increasingly better.
As for DJRyan...well you didn't even have to read between his lines. It was pretty obvious. There have been many DJRyans and worse pass through here in the last 5.5years. Let them pass. Also don't worry about the traders. Let them trade. Don't waste your energy. None of them affect the sp really.
Patience is still the key with ggp. So far it hasn't been wasted.

Bought in last week.
Looking at a long term view. I'm not a trader (not good enough).
But ggp (5 years still holding) has taught me one thing...patience will get you rewards...obviously with the correct fundamentals. Which I believe Rock seems to have.
Still need to do some more research but happy I'm in.
Good Luck All

So pleased for all Greatlanders.
Esp the LTH who have been here with ggp through the dark times....and in our 5 years or so there have been a few of them.
Good luck. Keep the faith.
Still patience....but now in excitement rather than anxiety.

I believe you know my thoughts on this already.
5 years in and still holding the most ever held.
Extended family still holding all theirs aswell. We have a reasonable amount.
Apart from a few covid stocks (lockdown boredom) I have only GGP. That is all I need to have. Not interested in anyother stock. Infact I bought more recently at 12p for my boys junior ISA.
Aim is not for those who are risk averse. You want life changing amounts then you need to step up and take the chance. The irony is that ggp is so derisked now so not much to really stress about. If you are worried about unforeseen circumstances then by all means slice off.
I have spoken about this a few times in the past. There doesn't seem to be an Aim share out there to my knowledge that can offer so much positivity with such a miniscule risk factor. We are extremely fortunate. Right place right time.
It wouldn't be prudent not to wait at least for the MRE the FS and then probable offer. I'm happy to take my chances on those being positive.
I have not sliced. And I am not on a free ride. Yes I do have a very healthy profit. Albeit paper. Ok with that. My slice will come but its far too early for me at the moment.
Remember each to their own. Do what you feel is comfortable for you. I'm looking for an early retirement....hopefully not too far in the distance.

Haven't posted a lot since lockdown ended. Work is manic.
A lot of new posters. Interesting reading.
Like I have said many times over... these intervals between news are just for the MM to do their business. Its Aim after all. The sp rollercoaster nowadays is considerably less stomach churning. Mainly for the fact that ggp is so massively derisked now that if they dare to drop it too low buyers are ready.
Patience is all that is needed. Like Paddy says...hands should be numb.
Go enjoy the sun.

Firstly its great to see so many posts during the weekend. And to see so many new posters inc first timers.
All very welcomed and its good to broaden our view points. Only thing is be constructive. Do a little digging of your own and then the perspective looks a lot clearer.
As regard to Buy Out/ TO I believe there maybe 2 slightly different schools/hopes on here now.
The LTH (like myself) who were lucky enough to get in very early and brave enough to hold. And the more recent buyers...say approx post 7p onwards.
LTH might just be happy for a total buy out of ggp if the price is right. Say over 25p. Therefore able to enjoy the fruits of this wonderful journey before getting too old to do so actively.
The more recent holders would probably prefer the Hav sale only and then go down the same path with Scally et al. Each one separately. Makes perfect sense . Esp when ggp has proven to be such a derisked Aim share. With all the fundamentals pointing to consistent shareholder benefit long term. At least for another 2 or 3 licences min.
Both scenarios are good for me. Infact I would actually prefer the latter. I'm fortunately not that old...(keep telling my eldest son). I could always slice and still retire early. And still have a considerable amount left to carry on with this journey.
I seem to be hooked with ggp...and all that it entails...this bb being one of them. For me esp not being a PI (my investments have all been in property) there is more of an emotional attachment of sorts. I know this goes against all PI rules. But thats the case. And if ggp keeps giving how can one walk away. 5 years of rollercoaster emotions invested is hard to shake off easily.
GH is probably my indicator. Since his appointment I have felt a sense of assurity, purpose. He exudes an integrity that I buy into...and up to now he has not proved me wrong. When he goes I will go.
I wish you all as much success with ggp as I have had and hopefully continue to have. Some of you already more. Esp in these most uncertain of times.

Been in here now for 5 years.
I still have my 11.25m. Brother has about 5m. Cousin approx 3m.
Nobody is slicing at the moment (although my cousin keeps asking). Sit tight I keep yelling. Just wouldn't be prudent.
Jezza is the 'Don' great job.
Paddy has over taken me now...what!? Sneaky...Can't be having that.
Good Luck All Greatlanders
Keep the faith. We are not there yet.

Only GGP for me. (Apart from a few covid stocks in the lockdown...small amounts)
However I'm not a PI like most of you. Bought GGP on a family friend recommendation nearly 5 years ago now....and just held and added held and added.
I don't need another Aim stock. Why would I?
At the end of my GGP story I'm done.
All eggs in one basket....yes they are. And happy to put them there. No need for another basket.
Good luck All

All the very best Archways.
I hope you reach 102 and are able to enjoy your profits
Don't check on here daily. Not good for the health/stress. Esp now in between news. Relax and enjoy the wonderful weather...safely.
GGP can fly autopilot now
Your good health Sir !
