You also need to remember that their machines are immersed - so they'd be looking for another immersion site - which they won't get - and would be expensive to build for a second time so that would probably be ruled out. Maybe you can dry then out and stick the fan back on I don't know - but they seem bricked to me - maybe sell them on to Galaxy but they wouldn't offer much - it's just all a mess and all the power is in Galaxy's hands. All because PW didn't sort a PPA.

If BTC goes to 100 then yes more old gen miners will switch on - but I don't see it being a massive uplift - most the uplift will come from new miners coming online - as Bitmain has released their 21 series and believe they are shipping already and a large number of miners have these on order.

The miners that will do well are the ones that have the lowest electricity costs and the new gen machines.

Argo has lowish electricity costs for the time being - but one of their big challenges is that their hosting agreement with Galaxy comes to an end at the end of this year. I don't see Galaxy renewing it.

Roger, they did that raise recently so I don't think they are going under imminently.

The writing is on the wall for them - but there is one more chance for them. This would involve bitcoin going on a bull run and the market becoming irrational and bidding this up, and them taking advantage of this via a raise.

I personally think this is what will happen - and BTC seems to be thinking about attacking all time highs in the coming weeks. You will know when it is happening as there'll be a lot of new names on this board speaking a lot of nonsense.

Dilution is ok if it increases profits at the same or ideally more % - but Mara dilution will be getting on to near 300 mil shares when they had 100mil a couple of years ago and they haven't really done much expansion wise other than finally install the XP's - which are now a bit out of date and less efficient than the new models that other miners are buying.

Riot is replacing existing machines with newer models, and diluting to do it. I suspect that they have a batch of dud or broken machines that they have not reported, and are using this as an excuse to "refresh" them.

MNS - yes got all of those 3, also some SDIG, some BTBT, and various others. Going to play miner bingo - as they do the unexpected jumps I'll swap about. Hopefully not so many unexpected tankings. They never rose much with the tier 1's, so they are hopefully reasonable value.

Managed to get out of Mara on opening around 30. Really annoying - they used the FASB and showed bumper profits and it was all exciting until I saw the after hours price dropping. It seems the dilution, the new ATM, and questionable input costs have made the market think about miner fundamentals - and Mara isn't so good on this front - asset light did not win out.

I've re-bought into a variety of tier 2 miners now. Hopefully the market forgets about halving and fundamentals soon enough and BTC breaks through and brings in the crowds.

404 yes I've listened to various earnings calls and some of the questions that are allowed in are shocking. Especially when you submit a question and it gets completely ignored in favour of one of the dumb questions. Although I guess the company chooses the easiest questions to answer. I'm sure back in the old days when everyone was in a room then real questions would be asked. Now the CEO and management team can just ignore anything uncomfortable.

I still remember the Peter Wall interview and they asked that stupid zombie question and my valid question was ignored. Still didn't twig though.

Mara will be looking at m&a post halving - I'm sure they've said as much, and assume that's the reason for the new ATM - and to buy machines no doubt.

This news is complete nonsense.

CLSK director sales are related to them receiving bonus shares for achieving hash rate targets. When they receive their bonus shares they are immediately hit with a tax bill. They sell a portion of the bonus shares they just received to pay this tax bill. The net result is an increase in their holdings - due to the additional bonus shares.

It can do anything, but I would expect you would get your 23.2p at some point in the coming weeks. Unless the management do a big dilution before it hits that target.

Not sure you know the history of this company or the dynamics of bitcoin mining as those things you say aren't really the case. That said if Bitcoin carries on running, Argo should also run. But they will need to dilute again.

Jimmy, I've not seen these rumours, however Mara did have problems with mining the last couple of weeks. It seems to be resolved as of yesterday. But the period is Oct-Dec so this would not impact the Q4/annual results anyway.

Ah Earnings Report. Not seen those rumours but they had a great Q4 mining wise, and if they apply the new FASB rule then it will be fireworks.
