The next critical event to watch is whether Biden will be the nominee. It seems the voices to replace him are getting louder and louder. If he is the nominee I'll remortgage my caravan, sell my cat and my neighbour's cat to buy more FXPO. It's extremely likely Trump will win if he is the nominee. This is Trump's dream, they are already on the record downplaying Biden's performance, saying he's the best the democrats have, he did well in their opinion in the debates.

If he's not the nominee, then I think the Democrats will likely win and the war will continue. Watch Harris in the debates she had with Pence or during the Supreme Court nominee committee meetings, shes fierce, likely from her background as a prosecutor. Gavin Newsom is an amazing debater, who will destroy Trump with facts, every trump lie will be met with facts.

It's the best money the U.S has spent - 100bln worth in weapons and cash sent to Ukraine, the military-industrial complex is fricken over the moon, and not one American service member has died. At the same time, they set back Russia military capability for two decades at least. Never mind all the political and economic damage the U.S is doing to Russia with the added benefit of making Europe even more politically, economically, and energy dependent on the U.S..

I think a decent amount of risk is built in here. I am hopeful Zhevago being a Russian pawn will provide protection to our processing plants being bombed by the Russians but at the same time also makes FXPO (must likely Zhevago shares) a target for the Ukrainian authorities.

For sure Biden would lose to Trump after that performance but Biden will not be the candidate, he'll be pushed out by the big donors and announce over the next few weeks he won't be seeking a 2nd term.

Even without knowing who the new democrat candidate will be now (likely Harris) they will likely win against Trump.

Trump wins, aid stops to a trickle, and war finished/long term ceasefire/frozen (something along the lines of N and S Korea).

Democrat wins - the war continues for the foreseeable future.

Trojan, hoping the Russians exit Ukraine with their tails tucked between their legs and Putin is thrown over a balcony.

IMO the Russians will win this. NATO is simply not 100% commited to winning. This drip feeding arms and long waits between deliveries is no formula to win. The abysmal offensive the Ukraine's did last was doomed to fail without airpower. The west would of never done that themselves without major airpower smashing russian position to oblivion first.
