Jay - The issue is there is significantly more jobs in the UK than unemployed folks. Not just low skilled jobs but high skilled jobs. Massive shortage of labour in the UK - went to Boots a few weeks back and they were closed at lunch time due to a shortage of staff, local restaurants constantly complaining they get find labour - they just don't apply, and spoke to the branch manager at a big DIY store and were majorly understaffed, no applicants.
