RE: Boris to return as PM, MKII version23 Oct 2022 11:12
Carl, I just like wedding cake. What's wrong with people living in a council or ex council house? You really going to go down that path. Says a lot of your character if you are.
As much as i like your Carl, but youre typical idiot which would vote and believe something like brexit just like you actually believe ive been married 6 times. Can't see further than past your nose, all about get the foreigners out, take control of our fisheries, save the money to "build hospitals" . You voted to leave the world's biggest trading bloc with a market of 746 million in population which is our next door neighbour for a free trade agreement with Australia which is other side of the world with a population of 25 million. All those countries that would be falling over themselves to due trade deals with UK never came and UK is in a weak position and desperate to negotiate and all trading partners know it.
Well done Carl, you really are a long term strategic thinker. Be damn sure you have made your children's and grand children's lifes harder and more expensive but it's OK we got our fisheries back which contribute 0.5% of GDP. Forgot all international businesses relocating to Dublin, Frankfurt and Paris due to Brexit and all the high paid jobs exiting. The Irish are having an orgy over brexit, it's the only native English speaking country left in EU now.
Outdated article from 2019,
"Banks and insurers have moved almost £1tn ($1.4tn) out of Britain and shifted thousands of jobs to Europe due to Brexit, according to a "sobering" new report on the impact of leaving the EU on Britain's financial services sector.
More than 440 financial services firms have shifted jobs to the EU as a result of Brexit, according to a new report from think tank New Financial, and firms have moved £900bn to the EU. "
Nevermind how many are leaving the UK not just due to brexit which makes trade more expensive and harder with Europe but due to the shambles of the UK government's fiscal polices. This didnt start with the mini budget but started in 2016 with Brexit. 3rd credit agency just downgraded uk to negitive.
Jay - The issue is there is significantly more jobs in the UK than unemployed folks. Not just low skilled jobs but high skilled jobs. Nevermind regardless how you look at it a vast majority of Brirish folks don't want to do hard jobs. There's a reason seasonal fruit pickers are all European cause its damn hard to pick fruit.
