Holding forever30 Jul 2020 10:42
Is anybody else planning to hold Cineworld stock forever?
I know many have been talking about getting out at 60p, 80p, 1£ or whatever, but I think once the vaccine is implemented, this stock could rocket and be successful in the long-term. In 10 years it could be £5 a share. The negative sentiment towards cinema due to the rise of streaming means it is trading at a lower price than it should be even without COVID-19. To me, it is pretty obvious that streaming is no substitute for cinema going and the best films must be seen on the big screen to be fully appreciated. Lockdown is temporary, as is social distancing, and these measures are holding back a tidal wave of demand to go out, socialise, holiday and enjoy films properly.
The Coronavirus vaccine is one of the rare market opportunities where an event with such gigantic upside for stocks is actually quite predictable.
