I think a reasonable price to buy the company, clients, IP, and future projections is £6B. As such if Microsoft can get for £5B thats a bargain for them and a pay day for DT BoD and any share holders that got in below £7 a share.

Would he great if Microsoft just bought the company, got rid of ML and wrapped the tech into their portfolio.

this has the potential for lots of the investment firms clients and partners to be driven to use darktrace as insurance and to remove threats.
if you dont get the significance of this, then to be honest you dont understand the matrix of business relationships and channel growth.

this news is massive for a clear reason:
They are now providing services to one of the worlds largest investment management firms, and this investment firm need their clients and portfolio to be safe from cyber attacks in order to remove the threat of share price and profit drops.

imagine that the investment firm will be plugging Darktrace into a lot of companies, and we can be looking at $ millions of extra revenue streams.

As much as this is good news, think of all the clients and holdings the investment firm has that they will open the doors for Darktrace to sell into.

I wonder what dirty ML has on US investors and other BoD.
If he gets sent to the US they a plea bargain could be offered, which would be a massive house of cards for the tech sector.
Also, Hewlett-Packard should have done better due diligence on their deals with ML and the purchase of Autonomy, looking at the case it ready looks like they were desperate to seem relevant and in a new tech growth phase and made the purchase out of desperation, which is their fault.

After selling a placing for 750, and then the massive drop, the company at the AGM need to give a great update or be stuck with a lot of annoyed ii and PI.
This is the moment that Poppy needs to shine on a more public stage.
Now the company is publicly traded the BoD has a responsibility to its share holders, and a if they flat line then it can put the company into the longer term drift.
