BP: Finally We See A Catalyst21 Oct 2024 08:07
...title of article in 'Seeking Alpha' (20th Oct) - it's worth a read and confirms my own beliefs since starting to post c. 2 weeks ago.
The US short interest will be taking note wrt change in Press sentiment. also those 2 spivs from across town would have known the turnaround was on the horizon before 'buying' sensationalist headlines recently in the Sunday Mail.
However, despite the organisation now being run by grown-ups and positive changes in strategy about to be communicated to investors over the coming months, the private investor needs to be guarded on short-term setbacks in SP. I will take another look at the situation before Q3 results but must stress that the 390p re-test shouldn't be ruled out. If you're a long-term investor, you have nothing to worry about. Also consider some short duration buy orders below 390p if the algos go wild (and a massive opportunity comes knocking) down to the 330p level (key pullback level) - very unlikely, but with short-term trading remember anything is possible in a sentiment driven market.
My models are showing a BP SP 'Breakout' is on the cards but, it hasn't yet been confirmed with the prices to date. So be careful when placing trades and remember the key levels to set up your protections.
Best wishes
