Hi Baz/Allan. You guys said it all. Wonder how the rig will fair in AP hands. The fund raise is a concern. However I'm more worried about the catalogue of difficulties which makes us look like amateurs. AIMO is why the sp got smashed yesterday. Still it's oil and ergo such ventures are risky. All the best and let's hope for a more positive update on due course.

It's PANR all over again. 50% drop due to mechanical issues. My initial view is this is overdone. What we don't know is whether this will impact other wells though they will learn from experience. I'd like a bit more info from PL. Not a good start with AP. Perhaps he'll start buying. Surprised Baz hasn't posted ..

Remember they had a change in one of their fund managers a year ago ( not one of their core ones) dumping shares. For a relative newcomer to investing his approach is refreshing. On another note Malcy stopped responding to email. He's too much of a celebrity now I suppose.

Hi Baz We share a few emails. Initially when sp plummeted a year ago. Got worried especially when we stopped to 5p was looking at a paper 40% loss. Had a wobble. He replied immediately but said it wasn't appropriate that he couldn't comment. The next day or two later post RNS he emailed back I added more. He never gives any priced sensitive info he is professional. When things were looking bad this paragraph convinced me to add further: In the course of the last few months we have issued successive positive news even right to this week. Welcome Northern. I've been in PPC for a couple of years and my average is 8.4. Past experience would suggest perhaps a softening in price after PL stops buying. If it does then will be adding but not now. Its one a few shares that has genuine blue sky potential in oil and gas others IMO are FOG and SOU. All of the above I've managed to communicate directly with the CEO either by email or phone and all of them have significant experience and strength, have skin in the game and no debt. I would suggest patience is often rewarded, I am bullish on oil in medium term and I am always looking a bit returns and will only sell or reduce holding if they triple my original initial investment. This is great thread with people who know far more than I and I enjoy reading Parky/Baz/Brasso musings.

Really nice rise on the back of PL buying. I would agree this truly has massive potential. I think we may have to be patient though but IMO we are in good hands. My view is we still may have a correction in price of oil towards Autumn time which is hope we maybe slightly insulated from.

Some very odd trades. Yes the FORTUNA RNS was disappointing but listening to Q and A with Nick and team am less worried. They have some of the lowest production costs. They have got cash. Have seen resurrection of TLW and PMO yet this has bombed. Ok drill bit success was poor and I would have hoped for lower than 40bucks breakeven for FORTUNA. Might be nice to see an acquistion or 2 next couple of years. Who knows maybe sp rise 10% tomorrow...

Cant disagree with that observation. AMER is a company i like for balance sheet strength, track record, production costs dropping just feel their reserves should be higher. Their PR sucks. Have not added much funds to any oilies since the rally as still think there might be room for a dip in PoO and Amer price seems pretty wedded to WTI so havent ruled out a bit more into the pot.

Couldnt help myself and emailed PL. He wouldmt be drawn as you would expect but fair play he always responds. Its obviously a different basin so no loss if AMER wildcat. I did say we missed his appearances on web and mentioned this forum so Im with Basil that perhaps hes working on something. I know who Id want to negotate. A tie in with AMER (i own simiar value stock) works on many levels all v eloquently described and they just raised funds....we'll see.
