The buyer would be totally aware of the purchase price and would have accepted this (that in itself is an offer) , they will have already been vetted by UBS as to there ability to fund such a transaction and suitability for the transaction.

Horrendous you are totally incorrect in regards to ability to short in an ISA .
BY mistake I ended up shorting BRH from 120 down to 65 p within my ISA and made £3k but you can only do it for a very short period I was told by the nice gentleman on the phone.

I agree it is assumption but I would suggest finalisation of contracts is on the cards , the buyer would have known the asking price well before they undertook DD and my I also assume there is a little haggling going on.
Thats my take anyway but I would be interested on your thoughts because if nothing is happening there is an awful lot of money being wasted .

That is where I am at the moment because I havent got a clue what is going to happen , there have been so many different outcome permutations put forward by all and sundry which has only added to the perplexity.
In my infrequent moments of clarity of the situation I think the BOD are going to sell the whole kit and kaboodle due to the lenght of the sale process. If it was just MT + Flanks this would have been completed long ago !!

Well it appears there are quite a few Old Sea Dogs on here . First went to Singapore in 82 and they were starting to clean the place up a bit so never got to the old Bojis Sreet but still a cracking place then and one of my favorite places still to this day.

GLG the DD on any prospective buyer is done a longtime ago. They wouldnt be allowed to undertake DD without meeting very onerous criteria set by UBS .
