We hear a lot here, and rightly so, how CF’s large stake means he is aligned with private investors.
In the short term, as he implies, that is less to do with the day to day of the share price - his holding is locked in for more than two years - and more to do with the one off dividends that will come with the sale of wearables data and imutex. In the latest presentation Cathal opens by emphasising his impressively modest salary - £140,000- one implication of that is that the only way for him to capitalise on the extraordinary success of OO and his own hard work is through the one off dividends from asset sales. No doubt he will be doing absolutely all he can to bring these to a swift conclusion. we should bear in mind though, that from his point of view, the LESS those assets are priced into the SP the more stable the ‘morning after’ divi payments will be. Dividends will rightly make him a small fortune -as well as providing a potential triple your money windfall to PIs - but ONLY those who are holding when the news drops. Who’d want to be out of this before Xmas?
