Much as CF understandably plays down the Covid-related work, because elements of it are out of his control, it still seems to me that full CHIM approval and subsequent contracts will be the true game changer for the core company. Nobody else can do those trials. Nobody else will have full access to that data. News on the next stage of that work could easily land at any point from now on - depending in part on political imperatives and the final machinations of the regulator. Both of those factors are clearly on our side. The pandemic is not going away. This company has a potentially pivotal and unique role in the whole world learning to live with it; still hard to put a value on that imho

Believing that only an exceptional set of results on Monday will secure a positive future for OO is short sighted at best. Companies aren’t made or broken in one quarter or one set of earnings. The results should confirm OO as profitable and with growing revenue, but the key to this company’s future is its unique position in an exponential growth market. Next week is just another marker on that road.

Having by his own admission screwed up the messaging and timing of the previous results/spin off announcements early in the summer, I have no doubt that CF will be aiming to deliver something quite special to the market in the coming weeks. I'd be surprised if the results didn't come with news of the next spin off close behind, hopefully DiM or Imutex, either of which, on the back of solid profit projections for the core business, could well multiply this SP. in the medium term "sensible investment case" will be far from a problem - it's one way of describing a company with a - literally - unique role to play in the infectious disease sector that is set to increase ten fold to $250bn, with a heavily invested CEO whose interests are entirely aligned with investors. the spun out assets are just a very welcome bonus to that core offer imho

interesting stuff, the cool thing about the Imutex candidate is that it tries to bypass that malaria complexity and invites an immunity response against the presence of mosquito saliva per se - as well, as I understand it, of potentially delivering a repellent to the mosquito. What might that be worth if it goes to plan? No doubt Bill G is across the research.

Big takeaway is that there is no significant seller offloading into the rise as in recent months. Without that drain nothing to hold SP back from previous highs once it gets going. And rightly so - I keep looking hard but there are few better placed high growth businesses than this on AIM or beyond, faith will be rewarded in the next month or two imho dyor

I'm never convinced by the argument that only bottom line figures move the SP on AIM. In my experience the biggest moves always come from a mix of speculation and collective nous - ie is this company uniquely placed to dramatically meet a currently unmet need? (eg, is it providing a unique virology testing platform in the midst of a 100 year global pandemic?). If the answer to that question is yes, sooner or later enough investors can see the no-brainer wisdom of buying a little in advance of any hard news. But hey, dyor

Vascular, i tend to agree. The "acquisition" of adrian wildfire and his team from SGS was never really explained at all - what were the incentives for them to make the switch? - but you can certainly see why SGS would have wanted a British company to take forward the Covid CHIM in particular with UK govt financing and approvals required. The streamlining of OO would also make sense for both parties (though admittedly not perhaps the DiM spin off which you might think had lots of synergies with SGS). The friendly working relationship between two direct competitors which CF has frequently alluded to would be explained by some kind of gentleman's agreement that OO would mark out the territory for rapid CHIM expansion, and SGS would have the capital and resources to take it forward. All speculation of course, but it would explain a few things - and obv be a great outcome for lths here if true.

Reading between the lines I would imagine they are thinking of timing the DiM spin-off launch at or near the end of September H1 results, learning from the last "perfect storm" and creating a double whammy of upward momentum into the autumn for Covid CHIM news. Not long to wait. dyor.
