I thought that it was interesting that Kingsley Wilson, Partner, Chrystal Capital Partners, expected up to 6 London IPOs in the sector in the first 2 quarters of 2021 and see lots of institutional money getting involved. Hopefully, we are one of the first
Interesting discussion on the development of European cannabis market, including a keynote speech from EMMAC CEO Antonio Costanzo, who sees EMMAC becoming one of the multi-billion companies to emerge in the market

I just block him. Job done.
Hello Dougie
It should be in the half-year report, coming out in the next few days. (In 2018 and 2019 it was Dec. 12 and Dec. 13) This will give us the NAV as of Sept 30, 2020.
I agree that Portage may come first. leap is already 50% of total NAV and has grown its business so much this year, I know that it is worth much more than its stated value of the March valuation. It really should be more than the total NAV of our investments. No doubt this full value will become apparent for the IPO. However, I do not want to get my hopes up too high for the new Leap NAV (October 2020) given that I am not familiar with how these assets are valued but do get the impression that the evaluators adopt a very conservative approach.
It is this liquidity that will quickly propel the price on good news. This may be good interim results in the next few days, EMMAC IPO news, Leap IPO news, or Juvenescence IPO news.

Ed McDermott indicating news soon
For reasons explained in previous posts I am sure that Leap's NAV to us will be a big jump from the existing £7m, to more than our total existing market cap of £15m. This should come around 12 or 13th December. The IPO price will undoubtedly be much higher.
In addition to Leap's value smashing our market cap, I expect the same of EMMAC. We have 2.3% of the biggest independent medical cannabis in Europe. Again https://marijuanaindex.com/stock-quotes/north-american-marijuana-index-tracking-top-cannabis-stocks-in-north-america/ is smashing it, and is nearly 4x its year low. In North America there are now 12 companies worth in excess of £1b. Surely leap, can join this club. If so, that is another £23m to FFWD.

This article is a little out of date (June). However, has an interesting discussion on virtual sports, including an interview with the managing director of IMG Arena, with whom we own Leap. He notes that instant football had been growing at 23% per month since it launched in January 2019. https://www.gamblinginsider.com/friday/tgif/tgif-2020-25.pdf?new1
I see that Ed is again posting on Twitter in support of cannabis (EMMAC). This is great, and I cannot imagine why he would do this unless he, as an industry insider, has lots of reasons to be confident. They have indicated a London listing
I was always most attracted to FFWD by the investment in Leap Gaming. This is 50% of our NAV and all news, particularly the RNS of June 22 https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/FFWD/investee-company-update-leap-gaming-izbqxobos70j2qf.html indicates that this will show massive growth this year.
All in all, I am very excited to see what the interims bring in a couple of weeks, as well as separate news on most of the company investments
Thanks, Barwickman. I just saw from Stockopedia that he already had a large holding. The RNS did not note this. Great to see his ongoing confidence.
9.8m shares. That was some buy. I see that volume has risen a lot since mid-October. I imagine this volume is going to be a lot higher over the next couple of months as news comes out
I avoid the nonsense by just filtering the idiots and unpleasant people. This type of person never seems to add any value to the conversation.
Hi Dapr. No problem at all. Have a good weekend.
I am glad to see that all the transactions this morning are in fact purchases.
3rd quarter medical cannabis sales in New Mexico grew to $55m in Q3 2020. This was a 62% increase over Q3 2019. Interestingly consumers are gravitating to the largest, more established suppliers. COVID has exacerbated the shortage of supplies there.
New Mexico enrolled 98,507 patients. The state of New Mexico has a population of about 2m.
EMMAC is the biggest supplier in Europe

Hi Kierewiet. I take your point about Portage, Factom and Yooma. I have never really taken much interest in them. My attitude is that if one of them comes good, it will be a nice, and unexpected, bonus. Looking at our most recent NAV, £12m of £14m is made up of Leap, Emmac and Juvenescense. To me that all seem to be advancing very well. I feel confident about Leap, but agree it is difficult to say without numbers.
