Thanks Heid, Richard remains (conspicuously) very vague on the COPD readout.

They're not exercisable until 18 June 2023. To me it's always a positive when directors have skin in the long term future of the company.

I thought that at the time Ghia, they've been very conspicuous about the timeline on the COPD readout ever since they first announced the interim readout. Hopefully that means they're due sooner rathe than later

I believe 20-30% would be significant. Would that be better than anything in the current market for COVID treatments? I also think results like that would act as a catalyst for the rest of the trial and approval process.

Hi Jakman, what is you're expectation of 'ok but not spectacular' hospital results? 10/20% improvement on discharge or depreciating condition rates? Less/more?

Nolupus, isn't that the whole point of the trials?

Given the limited knowledge of COVID at the time and the limited scope for dosage adjustment within the trial application for COVID, it would have taken far too long to re-adjust and approve a new dosage level/formula. I think it's fair to assume they are going with the same formula. As you are saying (i think haha), the effect of the formula on COPD vs COVID sufferers may be governed by how much each of those conditions suppresses the initial Interferon response. That would indicate less of a benefit on COVID sufferers (as studies have shown the IFN response is suppressed more by COVID).

It may be that a dosage level designed for COPD is not high enough for the more suppressing COVID, however other studies have shown strong benefits of this type of interferon delivered intravenously in COVID patients therefore I don't think we should under-estimate the benefit of delivering the drug directly to the lungs. Even a smaller dosage inhaled should result in higher concentrations of IFN in the area where it's needed.

Only the results will tell us though :)

Yea about mid July Im thinking we'll see the covid hospital readout. The official line from SNG has been that they will decide how to progress COPD trials once they assess the data however the reason given for the COPD unblinding is to support the covid hospital data. Thats a little contradictory in my mind but it got the approval for the interim analysis so not complaining.

Reading between the lines, Its hard to escape the feeling that potential licencees want to see all the data before backing the next stage of development.

Hi CW, the assumption that the COPD trial data would come first is based on the usual 3/4 weeks processing of data once it is unblinded. They got approval for that end of May. Hospital COVID trial dosed the last patient bout a week later so 2 weeks dosing/2 weeks follow up then the 3/4 weeks unblinding of that data.

When I was reading up on dosing few weeks back the document said that less dose is required because it will be in higher concentration than the treatment area. Obviously the amount is pre determined before trials.

Why would they release an RNS? It won't be any different to the previous one where they have said they are working towards design freeze and will update the market when it is achieved. The tests being used by UU and in that news report will be development tests that are being used in the process of achieving DF.

Iglu I can assure you I have a substantial holding here so want nothing more than the share to fly. Of course they are already producing the tests, they would have to produce large amounts of tests and validate them, in-house, before agreeing that they meet spec requirements and announcing design freeze. Then the tests will need to go through independent validation (PHE/CE mark) before being approved for distribution.

This is all clearly laid out in the RNS' by Omega. Anything else is supposition.

They're not ready. As they have stated in their email response to Elon (thank you Elon for taking the time to email them); The testing observed in the news report is a part of the process of reaching design freeze and they will inform the market when they reach that milestone.

Completely agree Shrunken, unfortunately. Fears of a second wave coupled with the financial impact as companies announce layoffs for later this year when governmemt support ends. We're nowhere near out of the woods yet.

Spot on Rich! End of march/start of April the SP had risen 300% in a month at a time where the rest of his protfolio probably looked pretty bleak. I know what I would do.

DubleD - Richard Marsden has absolutely no influence on the events that resulted in Link selling all of their shares. The likes of Lansdowne cashed in on some of their placement shares but the main proponent of the share price drop was the link shares. Thats all clearly documented and out of SNG control.

This is still results driven and all of the recent share price movements will not matter one iota if they are positive.
